JOY💗!


As we are just about to turn the corner into 2022..We as a family are having to choose JOY amongst a hard and devastating ending to the week!


Started the week out with hubbies ER visit and stitches in a deep laceration, both I and hubby with colds, hubby with ear infection, not getting to say bye to my bro and his family as they leave to go back out of the country, and the most alarming, devastating wild fires just miles away burning over 500 plus homes down and leaving so many with so much heart break!


But I was reminded today as I cried and my heart ached..
“I know one thing for sure, His word is unfailing, His promise is secure, Everything will be alright because the the whole world is in His hands.” Be Alright by


Praying for all those that have had loss and heart break and praying joy and connection for us ALL in the New Year💗Kali

Intentions..What are YOURS for the rest of this year into 2022?!


Do you ever say I really want to eat more veggies, or be a better mom or move every day or drink more water or you fill in the blank!!
But then have no follow through⁉️


Setting your intentions is an important part of making them achievable!


Start with making your intentions measurable, for example: Today, I am going to get in 80 oz of water before bed you should be able to say whether you got in your 80oz of water or not as you are getting ready for bed.


Next, create a specific statement that tells you exactly how you are going to set your intentions.
For example: If you decide you want to increase your veggie intake in 2022 to 4 cups per day, here’s how you would lay out your statement/plan:
Every evening before the next day I will make sure I have 4 glass bowels that are measured into 1 cup increments full of veggies and at least 2 meals and 2 snacks per day, I will make sure to get in at least 1 cup of the veggies.


Setting these clear plans will help guide you in achieving your intentions🌟

Ready for a Christmas crowd pleaser, delicious with all the right flavors and textures?! 🎄


Check out this amazingly yummy, nutrient packed Cranberry Orange Sweet Potato Bread💥


Sweet Potatoes are highly delicious and nutritious packed with: B Vitamins, Vitamin C, Iron, Calcium, Vitamin A and rich in fiber👊🏻


I used cranberries sweetened very lightly in apple juice and also used my fav grain free flour: Paleo Flour 🌟
And of course could not forget to add a few scoops of unflavored collagen powder in🥳

What steps are you taking BEFORE January to refresh your health goals?


Mommas and friends this does NOT mean your holidays have to be an ALL or nothing sort of deal!
You can still take small steps so that you can come into the New Year feeling stronger, more focused and ready to kickstart the New Year while mindfully enjoying the holidays👊🏻


Being mindful about what your body needs is a HUGE piece of kickstarting the New Year off feeling great!


My favorite ways to practice mindfulness for myself and my family is:
✔️Did that meal serve me well?
✔️Do I feel satiated?
✔️Did I get enough water?
✔️Did I get the POWER of 3 in at that meal (protein, healthy fat, high fiber carb)
✔️Am I starving before my next meal or snack
✔️Am I craving all day because I missed 1 of the POWER of 3’s in 1 of my meals today?
✔️Am I stressed and trying to fill that void with food?
*These are just a few helpful questions to ask yourself as you MINDFULLY enjoy the holidays😊


And yes, my kids (or 1 kiddo) eats Mac & Cheese occasionally, the cool thing is she asked for a salad to go along with it so it could “fill me up.”

What’s for breakfast??


Wow, mom is letting us eat cookies for breakfast😉


Little do they know (actually they know because they helped put them together) what powerhouses they are💥


Zucchini Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies🍪

*2 tablespoons melted coconut oil or butter
*1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
*2 eggs
*1/4 cup raw honey
*1 cup shredded zucchini, squeeze out extra moisture
~Mix all wet ingredients
*1.5 cup old fashion oats
*1 cup of paleo flour, ( )
*1/4 cup flax or chia seed
*1/4 cup of pecans, walnuts or any nut of choice
*1 tablespoons of cinnamon
*1 teaspoon baking powder
*2 scoops Chocolate Collagen protein powder ( )
~Mix all dry ingredients into wet ingredients
*Fold in 1/4 cup of dark chocolate chips ( )

**If dough is too sticky, can add 1/4 cup more of flour, depending how well you squeeze out excess moisture from zucchini can change consistency, slightly!

~Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes on a cookie sheet lined with unbleached parchment paper (“if you care” parchment paper is my go to)

Did you know that positively talking to yourself everyday can improve your health?!

(so many studies are showing this effect is a big deal from Mayo Clinic to John Hopkins to PubMed)


Saying something as simple as “My body can do this” can ⬇️ stress= ⬇️ cortisol = ⬇️inflammation 💥


So whether we are working together to control or lower blood sugars, balance hormones, lower stress, gut health, fertility, pregnancy, decrease inflammation, weight loss…
“It 💯 matters how you talk to yourself.”


So take some time everyday this week to start with a positive word for YOU:
✨I know I can do this
✨I trust my body and myself
✨I am enough
✨I have what it takes
✨I choose faith over fear
✨I choose grace over guilt
✨I will focus on progress over perfection

What are my top nutrition fundamentals:

“A goal without a PLAN is just a wish." ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry


What are your plans the rest of this week to stay on top of your health goals?


~Maybe it’s pre-chopping some veggies for the week because you know it’s going to a busy afternoon/evening!
~Maybe it’s setting that alarm to get up 20 minutes earlier so you can get in that workout!
~Maybe it’s taking some time today to plan your meals for next week!
~Maybe it’s setting an alarm every hour on your phone to remind you to drink 10oz!
~Maybe it’s spending some time every night doing some Pilates, prayer or meditation or a combo of all to calm your mind before bed!


The reality of it is we can think and wish about our goals all day, but if we don’t have a PLAN they will never be reached!


It does not mean it has to be a perfect plan to achieve our goals, but you have to start with a PLAN and learn and move forward from there! 💯
