We are thrilled to introduce you to our new Monarch House Life Enrichment Director, Selena Grevelis! 🎉

Originally from Cape Cod, MA, Selena moved to Colorado at 19 to embrace the mountain lifestyle. While working as an Activities Coordinator at a ski resort, she discovered a passion for leading creative art classes. Her career path shifted after taking a role as an Activities Assistant in a skilled nursing facility, where she found her true calling: enriching the lives of those living with dementia through meaningful engagement and person-centered care.

Selena is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, End-of-Life Doula, and a Therapeutic Activities Director for Dementia Special Care. Over the past seven years, she has dedicated herself to dementia care, advocating for dignity, connection, and purposeful living. Her loyal partner in this work is Buck, her certified therapy dog of five years. Outside of work, they love paddle boarding, skateboarding, snowboarding, and adventuring through this wild world hand in paw.

A day full of flavor, friends, and fine wine! 🍷🧀🍇
Independent Living residents enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Balistreri Vineyards, complete with a guided tour and a delicious wine and cheese tasting.

From learning about the winemaking process to sampling each pour, the experience was as enriching as it was delightful. Cheers to good company and great memories! 💛

Independent Living residents and Life Enrichment Director Kelly took a trip to the breathtaking Cherokee Ranch & Castle Foundation in Sedalia, CO. Nestled on 3,400 acres, this hidden gem has been a cultural treasure since 1996!

From stunning views to incredible historical artifacts and artwork, our residents were enchanted by the castle’s rich stories and timeless beauty. What an unforgettable experience! 🌄⚔️🎨
