“Hormone balance” has become such a buzzword on social media that it can almost feel like a red flag.
But here’s the nuance: perfect balance doesn’t exist - but *optimization* does. And while that may sound like another trendy phrase, it doesn’t mean we should dismiss the concept altogether.
The reality is that 1 in 10 women has PCOS, and 1 in 10 has endometriosis and/or adenomyosis - and those numbers are rising. These conditions don’t appear overnight; they often start with underlying imbalances, many of them hormonal. If women’s health was taken more seriously earlier on, we likely wouldn’t be seeing stats like these.
So yes, the term “hormone balance” may be overused - but it’s also reflecting a very real need. More than 20% of women are navigating issues they were never properly supported through.
That’s something worth paying attention to.
