We all carry expectations for our lives. Whether it’s goals, timelines, or bucket lists—there’s always a desire for things to unfold a certain way.

And when they don’t, it can feel disheartening. Trust me, I’ve been there.

For years, I thought I would be a published author in my 30s. When that didn’t happen, I felt like I had somehow fallen short.

Instead, my 30s became a decade of meaningful work with and the creation of my podcast, ✨

Now, at 40, I’m publishing my first book—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There was purpose in the timeline, and in everything I learned along the way.

This is your reminder: even in disappointment, unplanned moments can guide you toward amazing opportunities. The most unexpected paths often lead to the most beautiful destinations ✨💕

This is so important to recognize. One great way is to keep a journal and go back to read it each new year. I often tend to ask clients to think back to where they were a year ago and ask 'what is different in your life now?'

Reflect: How have you grown over the past five years? 🤔

Celebrate both the small wins and big changes.
