My husband sent me something the other day was was a bit depressing but it talked about how once we are gone the memory of our successes, our passions, our worldly accumulations disappear or become someone else’s over time. We take life so seriously. ⁣
I have to remind myself to just live and enjoy, while paying the bills. But that’s what it’s all for, right? ⁣

Great example of Functional + Cosmetic being … aligned. 🤓 Fix the reverse smile arc and open bite, restore healthy function. ⁣

Used Invisalign and bone screws to create a harmonious wide smile with a beautiful continuous gumline front to back. Lifted the back teeth up to eliminate a posterior gummy smile. ⁣
Made laterals larger with composite veneers and contoured the front middle teeth. ⁣

When was the last time you ran up a flight of stairs and entirely breathed through your nose? ⁣

Nasal breathing is surprisingly so important to your health! One of the most significant early problems we see in young kids is a constricted nasal passageway often caused by a narrow upper jaw and then too much mouth breathing. This leads into adult life and impacts your health and damage to teeth. Kids can get expanders to widen BOTH the upper jaw and nasal passageway. We have adult expanders with bone screws (MARPE) to do this for adults too. ⁣

What Nasal breathing DOES and mouth breathing does NOT:⁣
- Releases nitric oxide gas into your bloodstream —> vasodilator so more nutrients and oxygen get to your organs⁣

My niches are being very thorough - understanding the interplay between jaw structure/face, airway, function, and aesthetics and secondly simple/clean/aesthetic orthodontics which include Clear Aligners (Invisalign, Angel). My practice for the last 7 years has always been about 80-90% Aligners … so the cases you see are almost all done with Aligners. KIDS & ADULTS. Kids actually do very well with Aligners and almost have zero emergency problem visits.⁣

I study my cases, look at 3D X-rays, 3D teeth scans with bite pressure spots and more detail than your eye could see in a mouth to make sure movements keep teeth safely in bone, and obsess over function and aesthetics. Excellence in any profession takes time and desire to study your success and failures and the curiosity to figure out solutions to challenges. ⁣
