🔹Yesterday I took and PASSED the NCMHCE. This exam is required for independent licensure in NM and was a beast to tackle! I’m excited to be one step closer to being independently licensed in NM and being able to serve more NM athletes, coaches, and high performers this upcoming year!

🔹My goal for Speakstone NM in 2026 is to be able to accept most major insurances so financial costs are not a burden to those seeking care!

🔹I’m so grateful for my mentors, friends, partner, family, and colleagues for their continual support in my mission with Speakstone. Together we can go far!

I’m excited to share that I have obtained Independent Licensure in the state of Colorado!!

This is a huge step for us at Speakstone Counseling and Consulting, LLC as we have already started paneling with insurances for our provider Josie Gandall, MA, LPC and now we can start that process for myself. By accepting insurance, we can reach more athletes, coaches, and affiliated personnel that cannot afford out of pocket services. One of our main missions is to be accessible to ALL people in the athletic sphere, not just those that can afford cash pay services.

I am going to relish in this milestone, but know there are many more milestones ahead and am grateful for the people that have guided and supported me and as we continue forward!

Normalize setbacks because here is where you’ll gain self-awareness.

1-Where this week have you experienced a setback in your performance, career, relationships?

2-Did you react or did you respond?

3-What did you take away/learn? What do you want to strengthen or change for next time?

If you avoid setbacks, you avoid growth. Choose growth.

Speakstone and our logo are FINALLY trademarked!

✨Getting our name and logo trademarked was an added layer of protection I felt would help us maintain the integrity of who we are and what we stand for. This has been 11 months in the making and I’m glad we’re finally here. Big things happening this month with us including TWO team workshops both lead by our awesome provider & coach Josie Gandall!

🔹Our clinicians believe in maintaining continuing education above and beyond licensure requirements in order to provide elite clinical and coaching support.

🔹SafeSport has affordable trainings for providers, athletes, coaches, and even parents! Parents and athletes, I highly recommend looking into their user-friendly trainings.

🔹My daughter had her second meet of the season last weekend. I watched her get stuck in her head, struggle with difficult emotions, and ultimately poor performance.

🔹As a parent, especially one that works with athletes on that very thing, it’s hard to watch your kids struggle, but so necessary or they’d never grow.

🔹I’m not saying throw them to the wolves with no guidance, but you can’t take it all away from either.

🔹It’s a balance.

🔹SCHOOL YEAR CAMPS ARE HERE!

🔹This year we’re switching it up and offering 90 min 1x camps. We’ll be capping each session at 10 middle and 10 high school athletes. We will open more spots if there’s a need. This is a great way to gain valuable skills in a short amount of time to take with you and your athletic performance. It’s also a great way to connect with other high performing athletes your age and learn from one another! Camps are virtual at this time.
