Pregnant? Health First Colorado (Colorado’s program) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) cover doula services for pregnant and postpartum members.

Doulas are trained caregivers who offer support during pregnancy and childbirth, and after your baby is born. They work with you during labor and delivery to ease pain and help labor progress.

can also advocate for you and make sure you get what you need for a healthy birth. If you are interested in doula services, ask your OB or primary care provider. Or call us at 800-511-5010 for help finding a doula.

During , we are highlighting the disparities Black women face in pregnancy.

In 2023, the maternal mortality rate for non-Hispanic Black women was 50.3 deaths per 100,000 live births, nearly 3.5 times the rate for non-Hispanic White women. Maternal deaths decreased from 2022 to 2023 for all racial/ethnic groups except for Black women. (Source: CDC, 2025).

We're thrilled to support the Teen Life Conference (TLC) June 20: A statewide, youth-led health care conference in Colorado designed to empower high school students to learn, lead, and shape conversations about the issues that impact their lives!

TLC will bring 70 teens to Denver for a one-day event.
