There was a time in my life when I kept asking myself the same question:

**"Why does this keep happening?"**

Different situations.
Different people.
Different circumstances.

Same pattern.

I would work hard.
Push through.
Try to think more positively.
Read the books.
Set the goals.

Yet somehow, I kept finding myself back in the same place emotionally, physically, or mentally.

What I didn't understand then was that trauma isn't just something that happens in your mind.

It changes the way your body responds to life.

It changes what feels familiar.
It changes what feels safe.
It changes what you tolerate.
It changes what you expect.

And often, without realizing it, we keep repeating patterns that our nervous system learned long ago.

Not because we're weak.

Not because we're broken.

But because our body is still operating from survival.

Writing **Stuck on Repeat** came from my own journey of connecting those dots.

I wanted people to understand that healing isn't about blaming your past or staying stuck in your story.

It's about understanding why the cycle exists so you can finally break it.

The moment I stopped asking, "What's wrong with me?" and started asking, "What happened to me, and what is my body trying to protect me from?" everything changed.

Maybe you've been stuck in the same cycle.

The same relationship patterns.
The same self-sabotage.
The same emotional triggers.
The same feeling of starting over.

If so, I want you to know this:

Awareness is the first break in the chain.

And sometimes understanding the pattern is the beginning of freedom.

I didn't write this book because I had all the answers. I wrote it because I lived the questions.

Every Bite You Take Is Either Feeding Healing… or Feeding Survival Mode

We love to talk about calories, carbs, protein, and weight loss.

But what if food is impacting something even deeper?

Your nervous system.

Every bite you take sends information to your body.

Some foods tell your body:

✅ You’re safe.
✅ Nutrients are available.
✅ Inflammation can calm down.
✅ Energy production can improve.
✅ Repair and recovery can begin.

Other foods can contribute to:

⚠ Blood sugar spikes and crashes
⚠ Increased inflammation
⚠ Digestive stress
⚠ Hormonal disruption
⚠ More cravings
⚠ Increased anxiety and irritability
⚠ Nervous system dysregulation

And here’s where it gets complicated…

Many of us aren’t just eating because we’re hungry.

We’re eating because we’re exhausted.

We’re eating because we’re stressed.

We’re eating because we’re lonely.

We’re eating because food became one of the few things that gave us comfort when life felt overwhelming.

That’s not a lack of willpower.

That’s often a nervous system looking for relief.

The problem is that highly processed foods, excess sugar, energy drinks, and fast food often provide temporary comfort while creating more inflammation, unstable blood sugar, digestive distress, and energy crashes later.

The nervous system feels that roller coaster.

Your gut feels it.

Your hormones feel it.

Your joints feel it.

Your brain feels it.

Then we wonder why we’re anxious, exhausted, inflamed, craving more sugar, reaching for another coffee, and feeling stuck.

Healing isn’t about perfection.

It’s not about never eating a burger again.

It’s about asking yourself a simple question:

“Is this meal helping my body feel safe, nourished, and supported… or is it keeping me trapped in survival mode?”

Small choices add up.

One meal.

One snack.

One day at a time.

Because healing doesn’t start with a detox.

It doesn’t start with a supplement.

It starts with creating enough safety and nourishment for the body to believe it’s no longer fighting for survival.

❤️ Your nervous system is listening to every bite you take.

What message are you sending it today?

👉 Have you ever noticed that when you’re stressed, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained, your food choices change? What do you find yourself craving most?

The Crash We Joke About… Until We’re Living It

We laugh about kids bouncing off the walls after candy and then crashing an hour later.

But many adults are doing the exact same thing every day.

Only instead of candy, it’s coffee.
Energy drinks.
Pre-workout.
Sodas.

We wake up exhausted, reach for caffeine to get moving, crash by afternoon, grab another dose to make it through the day, then struggle to sleep at night.

The next morning?

We do it all over again.

What starts as an energy boost can quietly become a cycle where the body no longer feels like it can function without it.

And here’s the part most people don’t talk about:

Both sugar and excessive caffeine can contribute to inflammation in the body.

When inflammation rises, people often notice more than just fatigue:
• Increased aches and pains
• Joint discomfort
• Poor recovery
• Brain fog
• Mood changes
• Sleep issues
• Energy crashes that seem impossible to overcome

The answer isn’t always to quit everything overnight.

Sometimes the answer is asking a different question:

Why is my body needing so much stimulation just to get through the day?

Is it stress?
Poor sleep?
Nervous system overload?
Inflammation?
Nutrient deficiencies?
A body that has been running in survival mode for too long?

Because when we address the root cause, we stop chasing energy and start creating it.

Tomorrow I’ll share my own story and what caffeine was doing to my body before I finally connected the dots.

Have you ever noticed yourself stuck in the caffeine-crash cycle?

🤫 Private or Secret?

There’s a difference.

Keeping your relationship off social media? I completely understand that.

Not everyone needs to know who you’re dating, where you’re going, or what you’re did this weekend. Some of the healthiest relationships I know aren’t constantly posted online.

But here’s where I get curious…

At what point does “private” become “secret”?

A private relationship is simply protected.

A secret relationship is hidden.

One keeps strangers out.
The other keeps everyone out.

Your friends don’t know.
Your family doesn’t know.
Nobody knows you’re seeing someone.

And that’s where the questions start.

Why?

Is it because you’re protecting something special?

Or because you’re protecting your options?

Is it about avoiding drama and outside opinions?

Or making sure certain people don’t find out?

Personally, I think keeping a new relationship off social media is smart. People love to insert themselves into things that aren’t their business.

But I also think some people use “I’m a private person” as a convenient way to avoid accountability.

So let’s talk about it…

When does private become secret?

And is there a difference?

👇 Drop your thoughts below. I want to hear both sides of this one.

Are you dealing with brain fog, intense sugar cravings, bloating, fatigue, skin flare-ups, recurring yeast infections, sinus issues, anxiety, or feeling like your body is constantly inflamed no matter what you do?

And no matter how many “candida cleanses” you try…
it keeps coming back?

Because candida overgrowth is rarely just about one food, one supplement, or one organism.

This is where people get stuck.

You cannot heal the body while living in constant survival mode.

Candida overgrowth is often connected to a bigger picture:
• Chronic stress
• Nervous system dysregulation
• Inflammation
• Blood sugar instability
• Poor sleep
• Gut imbalance
• Overuse of antibiotics or processed foods
• Hormonal dysfunction
• A body that no longer feels safe enough to heal efficiently

Yes, nutrition matters.
Yes, removing inflammatory foods can help.

But healing is not just about restriction.

It’s about rebuilding the environment inside the body.

It’s learning how to regulate the nervous system, reduce chronic stress chemistry, support the gut, nourish the body properly, improve detox pathways, stabilize energy, and create internal conditions where the body can actually begin to recover.

This is why some people can follow every “candida protocol” online and still feel exhausted, reactive, inflamed, and stuck.

The body is asking for a whole-body approach.

Not another quick fix.

If you’re tired of guessing and ready to start addressing the deeper root issues, I’d love to help guide you through a more personalized, trauma-informed, whole-body approach to healing.

Why does your brain feel older before the rest of you does?

You’re still functioning.
Still working.
Still showing up.

But something feels… off.

You lose words mid-sentence.
Focus takes more effort.
Your brain feels overstimulated and exhausted at the same time.
You walk into rooms and forget why.
Mental clarity doesn’t feel as sharp as it used to.

And a lot of people get told:

“Welcome to aging.”

But honestly? A lot of this is not just age.

Many people are dealing with chronic inflammation affecting the brain and nervous system long before they ever realize it.

This is what researchers are now calling inflammaging, chronic low-grade inflammation that quietly accelerates aging inside the body and brain.

And it doesn’t happen overnight.

Years of:

* chronic stress
* nervous system overload
* poor sleep
* blood sugar instability
* ultra-processed foods
* gut dysfunction
* lack of recovery
* chronic inflammation
* metabolic dysfunction
* hormone disruption
* and loss of muscle mass

can slowly push the body into a constant inflammatory state.

The brain is not separate from that process.

Inflammatory chemicals like IL-6, TNF-α, and CRP can begin affecting the blood-brain barrier and overstimulating microglia, the immune cells of the brain.

When that happens long enough, people can start experiencing:

* brain fog
* slower processing
* memory changes
* mental fatigue
* reduced focus
* mood shifts
* decreased resilience to stress
* and reduced neuroplasticity

Sometimes the brain isn’t “broken.”

Sometimes it’s inflamed.
Overloaded.
Under-recovered.
And stuck in survival physiology for too long.

You cannot expect the body to heal well while it still thinks it’s surviving.

That’s one reason nervous system regulation matters so much.

When the body stays stuck in chronic fight-or-flight mode, inflammation often stays elevated too. The brain, immune system, hormones, gut, metabolism, and recovery systems all communicate with each other.

This is why healing has to become more than symptom chasing.

We have to help the body move out of survival physiology while also supporting inflammation, recovery, nutrition, sleep, movement, metabolic health, and whole-body healing.

Healthy aging is not about pretending we will never age.

It is about reducing the physiologic burden accelerating the decline.

Some of the most powerful things for brain health are still the fundamentals:

* anti-inflammatory nutrition
* strength training and movement
* nervous system regulation
* quality sleep
* stress recovery
* blood sugar stability
* gut support
* proper nutrient status
* maintaining muscle mass
* and restoring recovery physiology

Because sometimes the issue isn’t that your brain is failing.

Sometimes your body has been fighting inflammation and survival mode for years.
