A sound bath is very relaxing and can also induce an emotional response and release.
Try a 7 second box breathing while watching this. Inhale slowly for 7 seconds. Hold for 7 seconds. Exhale slowly for 7 seconds. Hold for 7 seconds. Repeat.
What did you experience?

Yep….science finally catching up!
Sound isn’t just something we hear — it’s something our cells can feel. In a groundbreaking study, researchers from Kyoto University have revealed that audible sound waves can directly influence how our cells behave, opening a new frontier in non-invasive medical therapies.
Using a custom-designed system to deliver precise sound vibrations to cell cultures, the scientists discovered that even low-intensity acoustic waves could suppress the formation of fat cells and activate or suppress specific genes. These findings suggest that sound isn’t merely a sensory experience — it’s a mechanical signal that can alter biological processes.
At the heart of this research is the idea that sound is a form of mechanical energy. Like waves rippling through air or water, sound travels through our tissues and cells. The Kyoto team used this principle to design an experiment that bathed cultured cells in sound pressure and then analyzed how those cells responded. The results were striking: over 190 genes were found to be sound-sensitive, and one of the most pronounced effects was a reduction in adipocyte differentiation — the process of fat cell formation.
This discovery could mark a turning point in how we view sound and its potential in medicine. Unlike drugs or surgery, sound is non-material, non-invasive, and can be precisely controlled. As such, acoustic stimulation may offer a safe, fast-acting way to influence cell behavior — from altering gene expression to modulating how cells stick to their surroundings.
Beyond the medical implications, the study also challenges the traditional belief that sound perception is solely the domain of the ear and brain. Instead, it turns out your cells may be “listening” too — and responding in ways we’re just beginning to understand.

Group Biofield Tuning with Michelle Love
Join us for a group Biofield Tuning session and sound immersion! Biofield Tuning is a powerful vibrational healing method that relaxes and resets the nervous system.
Advanced Biofield Tuning Practitioner, Michelle Love, works with tuning forks inside the body's electromagnetic field to find pockets of stuck energy, bringing them into the body's central channel for transmuting. These energetic pockets can be related to repressed emotions due to traumas, patterns of behavior throughout your lifetime including the ancestral line, or related to any other event in life where emotions were repressed. All physical, mental, and emotional disorders can be perceived as “noise” in our energy fields. You will experience a body-tuning that will transform your electromagnetic energy from “chaotic noise” into a tranquil melody.
Participants can experience the session sitting or lying down.
Please arrive well-hydrated in comfortable clothing, with a bottle of water, a mat/blanket and any other props for your comfort.
Wednesday, July 30th from 5:30pm - 6:45pm Cost: $33 Please call 704.662.0946 to reserve your space or sign up on-line.

A few months after my 15-year-old son, BJ, died from the most curable type of childhood cancer, a friend offered to do a Biofield Tuning session on me. She told me that it could help me with the grief I was carrying, as well as process other emotional events in my life that I had been hanging on to.
My first session was incredibly powerful, and she committed to doing sessions once a month to help me get back to a place where I felt like myself.
I know without a doubt that these tuning sessions are the reason that I can live my life without being completely weighed down by the trauma and grief that I have experienced throughout my son’s cancer journey and the loss of his life. I would even say that I am better than I was before BJ was diagnosed.
After about 2 years of being tuned, I started thinking about becoming a Biofield Tuning Practitioner so that I could share this modality with others.
Love Sound Therapy engages the energy medicine method of Biofield Tuning. Biofield Tuning is a physics-based approach to healing using the coherence of tuning forks on and around the body which can produce profound healing effects and is completely different from other Sound and Bioenergy Therapies.
Biofield Tuning works with your energy field where the practitioner typically works up to five feet away from the body itself in the field of energy that surrounds the physical body, using specially designed tuning forks and the “Biofield Anatomy Map”.
The Biofield Tuning Practitioner assesses where the body’s energies are blocked, trapped, or not in harmony, and then corrects the flow of energy using tuning forks. It is important for the body’s electromagnetic and subtle energies to be aligned and in balance, to be able to realize physical, spiritual, and emotional health and a fostering of overall well-being.
