Judi's House

Judi's House Judi's House is a community-based nonprofit bereavement center for children and families.

Founded by former NFL quarterback Brian Griese and his wife, Dr. Brook Griese, Judi’s House is a tribute to Brian’s mother, Judi, whom he lost to breast cancer when he was 12. As Brian grew up grieving this loss, he made a commitment to use his resources to positively impact grieving children. The Grieses discovered that there were no organizations devoted to this population and dedicated themselves to offering a safe, compassionate environment where children could grieve and begin the lifelong healing process.

It’s been a meaningful Children’s Grief Awareness Week at Judi’s House! 💙

Our team dove into creativity and connection during our Staff Development Day, starting off with learning about the power of play in communication with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and ending with a meaningful service project at The Center on Colfax to support LGBTQIA+ youth.

On Children’s Grief Awareness Day, our staff came together for a special potluck, each of us bringing dishes that reminded us of our childhood, a heartfelt way to honor the day and connect through shared memories.

We also welcomed dozens of families to our Children’s Grief Awareness Day Open House, featuring dinner from Cucina Colore and Apple Spice, plus hands-on activities and prizes from our generous community.

We're grateful for everyone who made this important week so special! 🫶

🏈 It's game day!

Today the Broncos take on the Chiefs, and while the rivalry runs deep, we’re celebrating what brings us together: healing hearts and building hope.

At our upcoming Strength in the Face of Adversity Luncheon, we’re proud to be joined by our co-founder Brian Griese and special guest, Kansas City Chiefs defensive standout, Trent McDuffie, who remind us that teamwork and compassion can make a lasting difference far beyond the field.

No matter who you’re cheering for, know that every supporter of Judi’s House is part of a winning team: one helping kids and families find hope after loss. We stand together as two teams, one heart. 🧡❤️

🧡 Rivals on the Field, United for a Cause ❤️

On the field, the Broncos and Chiefs might be bitter rivals, but off the field? Both teams have something in common: a powerful history of players committed to helping kids and families heal through grief.

Former Bronco Brian Griese, co-founded Judi’s House to ensure no child grieves alone. And at our upcoming Annual Luncheon, we’re honored to welcome Kansas City Chiefs defensive standout, Trent McDuffie, as our keynote speaker, showing that compassion transcends team colors.

As the Broncos and Chiefs face off this weekend, we’re reminded that true champions are those who lift others up.
