Judi's House

Judi's House Judi's House is a community-based nonprofit bereavement center for children and families.

Founded by former NFL quarterback Brian Griese and his wife, Dr. Brook Griese, Judi’s House is a tribute to Brian’s mother, Judi, whom he lost to breast cancer when he was 12. As Brian grew up grieving this loss, he made a commitment to use his resources to positively impact grieving children. The Grieses discovered that there were no organizations devoted to this population and dedicated themselves to offering a safe, compassionate environment where children could grieve and begin the lifelong healing process.

🕯️ Today is National Remembrance Day for Homicide Victims.

We take this time to honor those whose lives were ended by homicide. We hold in our hearts the families, friends, and communities who carry their memory.

To all who are grieving, please know you are not alone. We walk alongside you with compassion in remembrance and healing. May today remind us of the importance of community, support, and honoring the legacies of those we love. 💜

Nonprofits often face limited resources and stretched capacity, making it hard to track gaps, growth, and impact. Yet today’s philanthropic landscape demands measurable results.

Judi’s House/JAG Institute, with over 20 years of experience in bereavement-focused evaluation, is partnering with the New York Life Foundation and the National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG) to offer free trainings on best practices in data collection and program evaluation.

What you’ll learn in this session:
✔️ What evaluation is and why it matters
✔️ The two basic types of evaluation and the questions they answer
✔️ Core steps to get started with evaluation
✔️ Practical next steps for integrating evaluation into your work

Don’t miss this opportunity to build your evaluation toolkit and strengthen your programs!

When a child experiences the death of a parent, oftentimes grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and family friends will step in to provide love, stability, and safety. These kinship caregivers help children grieve, heal, and grow while honoring the memory of the parent they’ve lost.

This month, we celebrate and uplift the strength of kinship families. ❤️ Together, we can ensure children feel supported, connected, and never alone on their journey through loss.

Our hearts are with the Evergreen High School community in the wake of yesterday's events. 💔 As Coloradans, this pain feels far too close to home. We stand with students, families, and staff as they navigate the difficult days ahead and begin to heal from the fear and sorrow left in the aftermath.
