Judi's House

Judi's House Judi's House is a community-based nonprofit bereavement center for children and families.

Founded by former NFL quarterback Brian Griese and his wife, Dr. Brook Griese, Judi’s House is a tribute to Brian’s mother, Judi, whom he lost to breast cancer when he was 12. As Brian grew up grieving this loss, he made a commitment to use his resources to positively impact grieving children. The Grieses discovered that there were no organizations devoted to this population and dedicated themselves to offering a safe, compassionate environment where children could grieve and begin the lifelong healing process.

On , we recognize that sibling grief holds deep significance, especially for children.

Siblings are first friends, companions, and constant presences in daily life. When a sibling dies, children may feel that change in their world in ways that are unique to them and just as worthy of understanding and support.

Today, we honor siblings who are here with us and those we carry forward in our hearts. 💙

We wanted to share a brief update regarding this year’s Strength in the Face of Adversity Luncheon.

Trent Mcduffie recently began a new chapter with the LA Rams, and he has important commitments with his team that prevent him from joining us as our luncheon speaker this year. We’ll miss his energy, but we’re cheering him on and hope to welcome him to a future event!

We are honored to welcome Solomon Thomas, Defensive Tackle for the Tennessee Titans, as our featured speaker. A mental health advocate and cofounder of The Defensive Line, Solomon brings a powerful, personal perspective on grief, resilience, and hope—deeply aligned with our mission and this year’s theme: Grief Knows No Team.

We look forward to an inspiring gathering and are thankful for your continued support in helping ensure no child has to grieve alone.💛

Today is World Autism Day.

We honor and remember Alex Lamorie, who served as an advisor on Hospice Foundation of America's Autism & Grief Project and helped develop AutismandGrief.org.

Alex brought compassion, insight, and deep commitment to supporting autistic adults experiencing grief and loss.

We mourn his tragic death at age 25 and will forever remember his kindness, intelligence, and advocacy.

This year’s theme is Autism and Humanity: Every Life Has Value— deeply reflects Alex’s enduring impact as an advocate and as a human being. His work continues to inspire us, and his life continues to have value.
