Dr. Ira Gorman had the incredible opportunity to run into Regis DPT alumna, Lt. Col Danielle Anderson, whose journey from Regis University (Class of 2012) to NASA is nothing short of inspiring! πŸš€

After earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Dr. Anderson began her career in the U.S. Air Force, first stationed at Travis Air Force Base, California, and later deploying to Afghanistan and Bahrain in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. With 12+ years of service, she has made a lasting impact, earning the 2021 Air Force Medical Service Award for Biomedical Clinician of the Year as a field grade officer. πŸ…

Anderson has led the Space Medicine Operations Musculoskeletal Medicine and Rehabilitation team at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, since September 2021. 🌍✨

πŸ“’ Regis DPT Clinical Instructor Panel Recap! πŸŽ€πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈ

We had an incredible time hosting a Clinical Instructor Panel featuring four amazing local CIs: Brooke Zeluff, Travis Dehne, Adam Engel, and Ken Marshall! πŸ™Œ They shared their insights on mentorship, student growth, and the realities of clinical educationβ€”bringing wisdom, humor, and real-world experience to the discussion.

A huge THANK YOU to our panelists for their time and dedication to shaping the next generation of PTs! πŸ’™πŸ’› And shoutout to all the students who came ready to engage and learn.

πŸ“’ Exciting International Collaboration at Regis DPT! 🌍πŸ₯

This week, we had the honor of hosting faculty and students from Teikyo University in our Regis University Physical Therapy lab spaces! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅πŸ€πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Our visitors immersed themselves in hands-on learning alongside our DPT students, participating in:

✨ Dry Needling Lab – exploring this powerful intervention for pain and movement dysfunction.
πŸ₯ Acute Care Simulation Lab – experiencing real-world patient scenarios in a high-fidelity hospital setting.
🧠 Neuroscience & Anatomy Labs – diving deep into the foundations of movement and function.

It was an incredible opportunity to exchange knowledge, strengthen global connections, and celebrate the universal language of healing through movement! πŸ’™πŸ’›

Thank you, Teikyo University, for joining usβ€”we can't wait for future collaborations! ✨
