As some of you know, I have taken a role at Mountain West supporting alcoholics and addicts in recovery and sober living to help the using neuroscience, fitness and behavioral health outpatient groups.
The government shut down is affecting all of the mountain west clients as these are newly sober people in sober living and they are on Medicaid and will lose their snap benefits tomorrow.
If you’re in the Denver area and want to contribute, every little bit helps:
🚨 FOOD DRIVE ALERT! 🚨
SNAP (food stamp) benefits are frozen due to the government shutdown, and our clients at Mountain West Sober Living—already a vulnerable group—are being hit hard.
We need your help!
Please donate:
• Dry goods (rice, pasta, cereal, beans)
• Canned goods (soup, veggies, fruit, meat)
• Shelf-stable items (nut butters, granola bars, powdered milk)
• Personal care (toothpaste, soap, etc.)
