To all Colorado Kids Pediatrics Families:

After 46 years of my dream career in health care I have decided to retire and ride my bicycle off into the sunset with my dearest wife and family.

It has been my privilege to have taken care of your precious children and to have provided support to you in all aspects of raising them.

I've strived to do my best and hope that I have made a difference for you and in your children's lives. I know in my heart that you have made me a better, more fulfilled person... Thank you!

Thanks to my colleagues at CO Kids Peds, the doctors, practitioners, MAs, managers and staff for giving me the opportunity these last 14 years to be with the best people in all pediatrics. It truly has been my pleasure to work everyday alongside you.

Please join me on Sunday May 31st from 1-4pm at Colorado Kids Central Park location (2975 Roslyn Street) for an open house to formally say goodbye. A Kona Ice truck will also be joining us!

Parents, check your medicine cabinets! Nearly 90,000 bottles of Children’s Ibuprofen are being recalled nationwide.

The FDA has classified this as a Class II recall after reports of “gel-like masses” and black particles found in the liquid. Please know that these particles are not deadly; however, they are still classified as a contaminant/foreign substance.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR:

📦 Product: Children’s Ibuprofen Oral Suspension (100mg per 5mL)
🔢 Lot Numbers: 7261973A and 7261974A
📅 Expiration: 01/31/2027

🛑 ACTION: Stop use immediately. If your child has already consumed this medication and you have concerns, contact your pediatrician right away.

If you have a child between 6-12 months old and will be traveling to an area with low vaccination rates, it may be worth considering an extra dose of MMR at least 2 weeks prior to your travel, especially if there is an outbreak in that area.
