On this hike at Elk Meadow I was thinking about people and how far they want to go, and how it can seem impossible to get there with where we are currently. I thought instead of thinking about going from 1 to 10, how about going in stages, saying to ourselves 1 to 3, then knowing if we got there we could graduate to 4 to 6 and so on. Recently I started Pilates, and realized as strong as I am, there's still so much to learn, and I'm starting in the beginners class. I want to start with a solid foundation, and build from there. Is there something new in your life you think, I want it, but how will I get there? What do you tell yourself? What would you say to a friend?
