Tik-Tok influencers and many pseudo-science 'experts' like to demonize just about everything around us. Seed oils have been their latest target due to incorrect research correlations and social media's never ending desire to fear monger. I get that it's confusing but instead of listening to a bunch of hogwash, look up a real nutrition expert like Alan Aragon. He actually knows how to interpret research findings and can explain the science.

It's true, there are LOTS of shady practices in the food industry (organic foods included!). Even the research studies themselves can be shady (which experts can easily point out). For the rest of us....if you want to keep it simple, just start by limiting ultraprocessed foods and added sugars and 99% of your concerns are removed. Choosing organic potato chips cooked in avocado oil instead of canola oil is NOT the answer. Not choosing potato chips at all is the answer (even if we wish it weren't).

RFK Jr. said seed oils are one of the drivers of the obesity epidemic, but research has shown omega-6 fatty acids in seed oils may lower risk of heart disease and cancer.
