Elvis visited the Spearly Center!

Bruce Black (Aaron Black) brought the King of Rock ’n’ Roll to life with an amazing performance. From the entrance to the finale, the music, backdrop, and energy were spot-on. Residents were clapping, singing along, and even dancing in their seats!

Some of our ladies got a little extra attention (and festive Hawaiian leis in red, white, and blue), which made the afternoon even more special. The smiles said it all—everyone had such a great time.

Big thanks to Aaron for giving us a performance to remember!

We are thrilled to celebrate a huge milestone for one of our own! A massive congratulations to Vincente Arritola!

Since November 2020, Vincente has been an incredible CNA at our community. Now, after all his hard work and dedication, he has officially taken the next step in his nursing journey and is a newly minted LPN!

We are so proud of the compassionate care and heart you've given residents. Thank you for all you do, Vincente. We can't wait to see the amazing things you'll accomplish in this next chapter!

ELVIS VISITS SPEARLY!!!!

We’ve been rockin’ the week away with our Elvis: Rockin’ the Earth celebrations, and the fun isn’t over yet!

THIS Friday at 11:00 AM on the Pinion Patio, we’ll be firing up the barbecue and turning up the music for a live performance from our very own Elvis (yes, the jumpsuit, the moves, and the voice!)

Bring your blue suede shoes, your appetite, and your dancing feet – you won’t want to miss this!

We had a purr-fectly wonderful outing to the Denver Cat Company! Residents spent the afternoon relaxing in the cozy cat café, where they were greeted by dozens of friendly felines. Cats and kittens climbed into our laps and brought smiles and laughter to all. We're already planning our next visit!

We hit the road for a visit to Rodz & Bodz Movie Car Museum & Rentals—a local treasure located in Englewood. The museum took us on a journey through film history and personal memories.

Rodz and Bodz features an extraordinary collection of iconic vehicles made famous by movies and television. Residents lit up with recognition and joy as they spotted unforgettable cars from Star Wars, The Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, The Blues Brothers, and Batman. Elvis’s Cadillac and one of the original Rolls-Royce limousines were also among the standouts, along with the instantly recognizable Jaguar from Austin Powers.

More than just admiring the cars, residents shared stories, laughed, and reminisced about the shows and movies that made these vehicles so meaningful. The museum sparked rich conversations and heartfelt memories, turning our trip into something deeper—a celebration of culture, nostalgia, and community.

Please join us in congratulating our associates who completed mentor training! Morgan Barber, Kelsey Whatley, Suzanne Wheatley, Danessa Segura, Rachel Nugent, Emelie Salenas, Aubrey Romero & Kenneth Emsley completed new mentor training on July 24, 2025.

Mentors help to nurture new associates. They are chosen by the Executive Director and Leadership Team Members and should possess attributes of attentiveness, responsiveness, good communication skills, compassion and a keen understanding of Juniper’s mission.

The Spearly Center enjoyed its very first Outing for Friendship with a new community partner, Megan's Place, LLC, a unique day and respite care center that serves all ages with developmental and physical disabilities.

Spearly residents were invited to spend the afternoon at Boondocks, where lunch was prepared in-house by our kitchen team and smiles, happy bellies were shared from the start. As the two groups came together, something magical happened: the gap between generations & differences disappeared.

Though the partnership is new, the shared values of compassion, inclusion, and community engagement were already in full display. This outing was more than a field trip. It was an invitation into each other’s worlds—and a reminder that meaningful relationships know no age or label.

We’re proud of Spearly residents and grateful to Megan’s Place for opening their hearts so fully. Plans are already in motion for future shared events, and if today is any indication, there’s so much to look forward to.
