💡 Whether you’re showing off your ride, cooking up a pot of your best chili, or just coming to eat and cheer – there’s a way for EVERYONE to be part of the fun!

We’re raising funds to expand our services & renovate buildings to better serve our incredible community of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

How to Join In:
🚗 Car Registration – Suggested donation: $20 (Day of event)
🌶️ Chili Cook-off Entry – Suggested donation: $5 (Register online before the event for food safety compliance)
🍴 Chili Judge – Suggested donation: $5 to sample each chili and get a bowl of your fave!

📣 Friendly Reminder

In honor of Cheryl’s life and the incredible impact she made on our community, GoldStar will be closed on Friday, August 1, 2025.

This closure allows our staff, participants, and families the opportunity to attend her memorial service and celebrate her memory together. 💛

We appreciate your understanding as we take this time to remember someone who meant so much to all of us.

We are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of our beloved nurse, mentor, mother of Missy and our founder, Katie. Cheryl’s warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication profoundly shaped the heart of GLO and left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Cheryl was proud to be a part of the essential services provided here at GLO and often shared her personal journey as the mother of a participant in our adult program. Her openness and compassion offered comfort and connection to so many of our families.

She leaves behind her loving family and a legacy of kindness, service, and strength that will continue to inspire us all.

In honor of Cheryl’s life and to allow our community the opportunity to celebrate her memory, GoldStar will be closed on Friday, August 1, 2025, so that staff and families may attend her memorial service.

Per Cheryl & Phil's wishes, donations in her memory may be made to support the ongoing adult services at GoldStar. Your generosity will directly support the programs and individuals she cared so deeply about while continuing the spirit of compassion and commitment that Cheryl brought to our community.
