I'm burnt out, brother. 😮‍💨

If you've experienced burnout in recovery, you are *not alone* — and it doesn't mean that there's anything "wrong" with you. Tap through the slides here for more tips on how to navigate (and maybe even prevent!) burning out.

Also, if you're not experiencing or haven't experienced burnout, that doesn't mean you're "doing recovery wrong" or "not doing recovery hard enough." Every person's experience is different and if this doesn't resonate with you, that doesn't mean your recovery is any less valid! 💙

Eating disorders hardly *ever* exist in a vacuum. 😵‍💫

We've covered co-occurring conditions pretty extensively in the past (re: historical posts on eating disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders and chronic illnesses, eating disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder, etc. etc.), but one of the most common co-occurrences that we want to shed light on is eating disorders and substance use disorder.

Tap through the slides here to learn more (all information courtesy of our Clinical Manager, Leah Young, who is incredibly passionate about this topic).

What's a song that makes you feel strong, brave or courageous?

"September is Recovery Month, and I’ve been recovered for 11 years now! 🌸

Recovery has taught me that healing isn’t linear — there are setbacks, hard days, and moments where it feels impossible… but each step forward, no matter how small, is still progress.

It’s taught me that food isn’t the enemy — it’s connection, culture, joy, and nourishment. Learning to eat without shame has been one of the most radical acts of self-love in my life.

It’s taught me that my worth has nothing to do with the size of my body, the number on the scale, or how 'perfectly' I perform. My worth has always existed just by being me.

And most of all, recovery has taught me that freedom is possible. That life is so much bigger than calories, mirrors, or numbers — it’s laughter, relationships, adventures, and peace.

If you’re in recovery, I’m celebrating with you. If you’re just starting, know that hope and healing are always possible. ✨

👉 Share what recovery has taught you — big or small — so we can celebrate together."

Conflicting nutrition advice, sensationalized headlines, and diet culture messaging make it hard to know what's fact and what's fiction when it comes to food. 😵‍💫

"Food Facts, Not Fiction: Debunking Common Nutrition Myths" is a four-week, evidence-based education series led by one of our registered dietitians, designed to help you separate science from stigma.

Through the lens of the Health at Every Size® and All Foods Fit models, each week tackles a pervasive nutrition myth — exploring where it came from, why it persists, and how it impacts our relationship with food. You'll walk away from these sessions with practical tools to challenge diet culture narratives, honor your body’s needs, and enjoy a more flexible, guilt-free approach to eating.

This series is open to anyone! Whether you are in eating disorder recovery, supporting a loved one, working in healthcare, or simply interested in fostering a healthier relationship with food.

You're allowed to be both a work in progress and proud. 🌟

Recovery doesn't "start over" if you've had a slip.
You're not back on day one.
You're not back in square one.
Every moment leading up to this has been filled with growth,
with meaning,
with progress,
with lessons.
All of which would have never come if you hadn't started recovery.
So if you've had a slip,
or a relapse,
or if you've taken a step back...
Remember: you're not starting over.
You're not back where you were before you started recovery...
You've learned so much, and nothing will take that away. 💙

Eating disorder symptoms vary from person to person, and they also vary depending on the type of eating disorder someone is experiencing.

This is by no means a comprehensive list of all the symptoms that exist, and if you don't exhibit the symptoms on this list, that doesn't make your eating disorder any less valid.

This is just a starting point for people to understand common signs of various eating disorders. 💙

Body image isn’t just “love your body” or “hate your body.”

It’s a complicated spectrum — and where you land can shift daily, hourly, or across the years. There’s no one “right” way to feel about your body, especially in eating disorder recovery.

You might feel at peace one day and uncomfortable the next. You have moments of confidence, and then hit a wall. That doesn’t mean you’re going backward — it means you’re moving through.

This post breaks down some of the most common stages of body image (including the rest stop of Body Neutrality) and reminds you that every phase of the journey is valid. 💙

What’s one way you’ve shown your body care this week?

Your gentle reminder that you can start over as many times as you need. 💙
