Dr. Nicholas Studholme, DC, CCSP, CCEP, FAFS
Dr. Studholme, a Colorado native, is an expert in treating chronic pain, sports-related injuries, and analyzing and improving running form and technique. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon and has been in practice in the Denver/Boulder area since 2000. Dr. Studholme believes that personalized preventive care is of the utmost importance in helping people achieve their health goals, and his patient-centered approach to medicine is tailored to the unique needs of those who seek his counsel. Dr. Studholme’s devotion to good health is the basis and primary focus of his practice, and he includes the physical, mental, and emotional aspects in order to make a more holistic and accurate diagnosis. He values the trust and confidence of his patients with whom he works in partnership for better health.
Specializing in Functional Neuro-Orthopedic Rehabilitation (FNOR), Dr. Studholme provides a well-balanced evaluative and rehabilitative experience that focuses on patient accountability. In addition to his practice, Dr. Studholme works with the Colorado Rapids, NHL players, and many of the top triathletes in the world, including Olympic medalists and Ironman Kona winners. He is also the chiropractic consultant for the University of Denver Sports and Athletics Program.
Dr. Studholme is a sought-after speaker and expert in the sports medicine field, teaching continuing education seminars such as FNOR, Dynamic Tape, and Enhance Running. In 2011, Dr. Studholme helped co-found SparkMotion, a motion capture and analysis application for the iPad. SparkMotion is the current gold standard in clinical motion capture technology and is currently used by the United States Olympic Training Centers and professional teams in the NBA, NFL, MLB, as well as colleges around the nation.
Nick played competitive soccer through college and still enjoys watching and playing soccer. In addition he loves to hike and be in the mountains with his wife Laura and their dog Nola.
Dr. Laura Brenner, DDS - Career and Weight Loss Coaching
Dr. Laura Brenner is an iPEC Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Master Practitioner who specializes in helping people make successful lifestyle and career transitions. A graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, she practiced dentistry here in Denver for 10 years until she decided to make her own career change.
It all started when she began addressing her own health issues through healthy eating and diet modification and noticed dramatic improvements. Her experience helped awaken a desire to help others adopt healthy habits to create lasting change for themselves, and she became an Ideal Protein Weight Loss Coach.
Laura enjoyed coaching so much that she decided to develop her coaching skills further and graduated from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC.) After experiencing how her own career change positively impacted all aspects of her life, this also ignited her passion for helping others create their own career and lifestyle changes. She believes we all have the capacity to create the changes we really want to help us live our best lives. Dr. Brenner’s coaching tools include the Energy Leadership Index Assessment, Energy Leadership Development System, and the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method where appropriate. Megan Mormile, MS, ATC- Rehabilitation Coordinator
Megan is a Certified Athletic Trainer originally from Ithaca, NY. She obtained her masters’ in Athletic Training and Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University, and joined us at Studholme Chiropractic upon completion of her program. Megan has immensely enjoyed incorporating her background of biomechanics and sports medicine into her new position with patient centered rehab at Studholme Chiropractic. She has made great strides with her own personal journey of health and fitness since moving to Colorado. Megan also works as a personal trainer, and during her free time loves spending time with her black lab Berkeley and taking advantage of the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.
Britney Lorbek- Office Manager
Britney joined our team at Studholme Chiropractic in April 2016. As our wonderful office manager, she wears many different hats to make sure everything runs smoothly in our office. With a degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Texas, Britney has worked in the health and wellness industry for many years and is a natural fit to our team. Those of you who know Britney have noticed that she brings joy and happiness into everything she does for our patients and team!
Britney loves traveling and meeting new people. She joined us after traveling Europe solo for 6 months and then living in Australia. She continues to pursue her love of exploring new places, having recently visited Colombia, Canada, Puerto Rico, and multiple cities across the U.S. She finds meaning and value in traveling around the world and making new connections, but loves the roots she has set up in Denver, Colorado. She also enjoys backpacking, running marathons, skiing, and indulging her inner foodie wherever she may roam.
