The Enneagram & The Law of Three: A Navigational Tool for Our Times

I am continually amazed by the power of working with the Law of Three as an inner practice for the dilemmas and challenges I encounter — both personally and collectively. You might be too.
The Law of Three, represented by the inner triangle of the Enneagram symbol, is fundamental to the wisdom of this tradition. It invites us to work consciously with what Gurdjieff called the forces of "World Creation": Initiating, Resisting, and Reconciling. These three forces open us to new possibilities for personal and collective liberation, offering a way to meet the conflicting energies that arise within us.
Initiating energy moves us toward change and new possibilities. Resisting energy arises from our type structure, seeking to maintain the familiar and protect us from perceived threats. Reconciling energy emerges when we bring conscious, nonjudgmental awareness to both — and from that space, something new, beyond either polarity, can arise.
