Range of Motion Project

Range of Motion Project The Range of Motion Project, a 501(c)(3), aims to provide prosthetic limbs and orthotic braces to those without resources throughout the world.

9 out of 10 amputees worldwide do NOT have access to quality prosthetic care. The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) believes that amputees are not disabled because of a missing limb, but because of a missing prosthesis. ROMP was founded to create a more equal distribution of prosthetic services throughout the world.

Today, less than month out from our climb, we are excited to share our climber spotlight withย Taylor Haines, Tanner Jones, Bri Daniels, and Santino Martirano who are all climbing Cotopaxi forย ROMP Global, so much of which is made possible by our support fromย Overwatch x Rescue!ย

Help us in reaching our goal of $130,000 to make immobility a thing of the past! (link in bio)
As a lifelong amputee and prosthesis user, Taylor strives to always find ways to adapt and overcome, so she can live her fullest life!ย  Growing up in Alaska, and now living in Portland OR, Taylor likes to travel the world โ€” when she can โ€” to experience new cultures, foods, and adventures!ย  This will be her third time Climbing for ROMP. ย

Tanner climbs with ROMP to give access to prosthetics and to show whatโ€™s possible with mobility. โ€œI have been a below the knee amputee on my right side for 4 years and truly believe I got my mobility back after my amputation. My goals are to raise 10k this year for ROMP and climb alongside patients, amputees and allies to show the world how badass ROMP is.โ€ย

Bri Daniels is a two-time cancer survivor and below-knee amputee based in Bozeman, MT. After losing her leg at 18, she found healing and purpose through adaptive recreation and community. With experience working in the adaptive sports space and a passion for access and inclusion, sheโ€™s joining the ROMP team to help others discover the freedom and joy that mobility can unlock.

Santino, this yearโ€™s expedition leader is a documentary photographer, alpinist, and OxR ambassador who has been climbing for ROMP since 2021 and hopes to help makeย immobility a thing of the past. โ€œI didnโ€™t know I could take my mobility for granted until I climbed with ROMP, now every climb has a greater purpose.โ€

๐ŸŽ‰ ROMP Turns 20 in 2025 ๐ŸŽ‰

And weโ€™re celebrating 20 years of restoring mobility with another bold ascent!

This October, we return to Cotopaxi โ€” one of the worldโ€™s highest active volcanoes, standing at 19,347 ft (5,897 m) โ€” for our 11th annual Climbing for ROMP expedition.

For 11 years, climbers from around the world have come together to push their limits and raise critical funds for mobility access. In that time, weโ€™ve helped provide thousands of prosthetic devices to those who need them most.

2025 isnโ€™t just another year. Itโ€™s the start of our next chapter โ€” and weโ€™re going higher than ever.

Join the movement.
Climb with purpose.
Restore mobility.

This May marks a deeply meaningful milestone: 20 years since I co-founded the Range of Motion Project (ROMP). Over these two decades, Iโ€™ve had the extraordinary privilege of helping thousands of people regain their mobility, dignity, and independence. Having reached this anniversary, I want to share that May 31st will be my final day as Executive Director of ROMP. Over the past year, Iโ€™ve worked closely with our Board of Directors to ensure a thoughtful and strategic leadership transition. On June 1st,๐™…

๐™๐™Š๐™ˆ๐™‹ ๐™‚๐™ช๐™–๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ข๐™–๐™ก๐™– ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™๐™Š๐™ˆ๐™‹ ๐™€๐™˜๐™ช๐™–๐™™๐™ค๐™ง ๐˜พ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™ฎ ๐˜ฟ๐™ž๐™ง๐™š๐™˜๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ง๐™จ ๐˜ฟ๐™–๐™ซ๐™ฎ ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™š๐™ฏ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™‡๐™ž๐™ก๐™ž๐™–๐™ฃ๐™– ๐™๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™ง๐™ค will continue leading these areas of operation and will receive direction and support from Jonathan in his new leadership role.ย

Many of you already know Jon, heโ€™s been with ROMP for 9 years and has played a critical role in shaping and growing our programs. His vision is bold, and his commitment to this mission is unwavering. I couldnโ€™t be more confident in the direction ROMP is headed under his leadership.

ROMPโ€™s next chapter wonโ€™t be easy. Today, more than 1,000 people are on our waitlist. These are folks in Guatemala and Ecuador living with amputation, who qualify for ROMPโ€™s prosthetic care, physical therapy, mental health services, and job placement support. With your continued support, and Jonโ€™s leadership, I know we can meet this challenge and expand the life-changing ROMP model to even more communities around the world.

While my role will change, my commitment to ROMPโ€™s mission and vision will not. I will continue to support ROMP in new ways, championing the cause of mobility and access to quality prosthetic care wherever my journey takes me.

Thank you for walking this journey with me. I hope youโ€™ll continue to stand with ROMP and Jonathan as this incredible mission enters its next powerful phase.

With gratitude,
