Range of Motion Project

Range of Motion Project The Range of Motion Project, a 501(c)(3), aims to provide prosthetic limbs and orthotic braces to those without resources throughout the world.

9 out of 10 amputees worldwide do NOT have access to quality prosthetic care. The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) believes that amputees are not disabled because of a missing limb, but because of a missing prosthesis. ROMP was founded to create a more equal distribution of prosthetic services throughout the world.

95% of the prosthetic components we use are recycled — giving new life to materials and restoring mobility to patients.

As part of our new strategy, we are expanding component recycling to meet the growing demand in Guatemala and Ecuador.

In 2026, we will host 6 Limb Disassembly Days across the United States to increase access to high-quality components.

Be part of this historic movement.
Donate components and help us keep mobility moving forward.

Last week our Executive Director Jonathan Naber made a presentation at the American Academy of Prosthetists & Orthotists in Nashville, speaking about ROMP’s research collaboration with the University of Washington in Guatemala.

Collaboration is key to meeting the demand for care and sharing the ROMP model worldwide, and we are glad to partner with UW Rehab Med, Penta Medical Recycling, ALPS South as we fight to make immobility a thing of the past.

In just the first two months of 2026, we delivered 112 prostheses across Guatemala and Ecuador.

We’ve already reached 13% of our annual goal — but 762 patients are still waiting.

Meeting this demand requires consistency, community, and commitment.

César, from Pichincha, lost his leg to diabetes in 2024. Referred by another ROMP patient, he received a custom-made prosthesis at our Quito clinic in May 2025 during the volunteer program with George Mason University.

With 4 children depending on him, his family has always been his motivation. Now, he’s ready to return to work and take the next steps toward a brighter future.

“My family’s needs kept me going.” – César

Mobility changes lives. Together, we can make immobility a thing of the past.
