The Wine Event has raised more than $2 million for the hospital and its program. All proceeds from the 2022 Wine Event will go to benefit the Family Resource Center This special evening is complete with exceptional wines paired with delicious hors d’oeuvres as you stroll through the Zoo to mingle with friends. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on exciting silent and live auction items. It is a fabulous way to come together with family, friends, clients and the greater Colorado community to support a very special cause. Since opening in 2017 the FRC has served as a sanctuary for mindfulness and emotional health for patients and families. It has provided a total of 23,359 sleep room nights to over 5,300 families. This free overnight accommodation away from bedside offers parents a comfortable, private space to catch up on rest during their child’s hospital stay. In addition, the FRC has provided 925 free breakfast days totaling 23,125 meals for families. Afternoon snacks are also available at no cost to parents/caregivers. Families also can receive support from the blue comfort cart filled with an assortment of basic toiletry items during their stay with non-clinical resources and amenities to ease the anxiety and burden of their hospital experience. In addition, we are most excited to announce the opening of a new Family Resource Center located in the Gary Pavilion on the Anschutz Medical Campus. The new FRC serves as a comfortable respite space for families whose child is being cared for in the Pediatric Mental Health Institute. Thanks to your continued generosity, this new location offers families access to a lounge and kitchen space, 2 respite sleep rooms in addition to a laundry and a shower facility. Families are warmly greeted by personnel who are available to assist with non-clinical needs.
