CONSISTENCY IS KEY.

I hit a milestone today! I attended my 400th yoga class this afternoon! 🧘‍♀️ 🌟

I haven’t always thought about it in this way—but because exercise has always been such an important stress reliever for me, I have for the most part been consistent with MOVEMENT in my life. I say this not to brag but to show you that I do practice what I preach!! I also want to remind you that while it is always ok to take days off - or weeks off even - if you are consistent with a movement practice of some kind in your life, you are golden. If you can embody physical movement for 30-60 minutes most days of the week, you will feel better ~ you will be more productive ~ you will be happier ~ you will feel calmer ~you will likely live longer ~ and you will be a better friend, mother, father, daughter, son, uncle, aunt, teacher, co-worker etc.

I think about this a lot in my daily medical practice. When I speak with patients, I am often reminded of how important it is to find a routine and to maintain some consistency with all of our healthy habits in life. A 6- week exercise plan won’t do the trick and a crash diet isn’t where it’s at. You need to create consistency over the long haul. And, you can start anytime…in fact, you actually don’t have to wait for anything - so why not start today? 💥

Patients ask me all the time what KIND of exercise they should be doing and my answer is always this: Do some kind of movement that you love ~ something that you look forward to ~ something that is accessible to you ~ for 30-45 minutes most days of the week. You can change it up - switch it up — whatever you have to do - but you need to move your body on a regular basis to stay healthy. 🧘‍♀️

We need both cardiovascular exercise and resistance training —and you can do both at the same time if you need to. Just do it. 💕

I just LOVE sharing all of the cool things that I do at work to help patients feel happier and more productive in their lives…so let’s talk about PRP! Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is what I like to refer to as: your own body’s natural healing serum.

Essentially, all of the platelets in your body carry growth factors and enzymes that help to speed up healing—this is why platelets are so helpful and a necessary presence at the site of a wound. I have been so inspired by what I learned at the 2023 MAPS conference and I have been studying daily to provide new offerings that are safe and that provide life-changing transformation. I am ready to broaden my work with psychedelic medicine.

I have been working with ketamine for a couple of years in one-on-one settings, using sublingual troches that quickly dissolve under the tongue. We are now doing some prep work to create retreat-based group approaches that will be more dynamic, potent, and powerful than what can be accomplished in a one-on-one setting.

Our first retreat is scheduled for September! (more info coming soon!) This retreat will be designed to optimize your experience and and allow for lasting transformation.

Ketamine is a safe, well-known medication that has historically been used as a dissociative anesthetic. It is used off-label for the treatment of PTSD, refractory depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. And, at higher doses, it has been used to create profound psychedelic and transformational experiences that provide lasting healing effects.

Ketamine works to rewire the brain by creating new neural pathways and heightened neuroplasticity. There is a TON of potential for healing through use of this medicine and I am looking forward to sharing more with you as we work to prepare upcoming group experiences with this medicine. ❤️

The education, inspiration, and new connections that I made this week are unsurpassed in my career thus far. Thank you for continuing to hold the door open for the use of psychedelics to heal us, to expand our consciousness, and to create more connection with each other and with our planet. ❤️🍄

I had to battle some pretty nasty Denver traffic… along with a bunch of life and health things just to get to my mat at the yoga studio today…but it was so damn WORH IT! It can be challenging in our busy lives just to remember to take a deep BREATH but SELF CARE and MOVEMENT are crucial to our physical and mental well being. We gotta come home to our bodies so that we can keep on SLAYING at life! 💕 🧘‍♀️ ❤️🔥
