This week a client flew in for a 4 days of immersion pelvic healing.

I am always in awe of this medicine, but especially the immersion space these days.

Linear time stops.

It’s incredible what can happen when there is safety. Ceremonial Bodywork is relational touch. And as we settled into the rhythm of each day, there was so much power in how the body shared with us what she wanted and needed.

When we can listen to those whispers, huge shifts can happen.

There were so many themes of understanding that moved through.

Reclamation and Surrender
Resistance and Allowing Fear
Embracing The Inner Knowing
Acceptance and Rebirth

Her Uterus came center
Endometrial scars melted
Procedural Scars told their stories
Her fluid realms found new rivers pathways to flow.
A huge reclamation in her ancestral lineage of pain

And.

There were times the body said no, and we pivoted. There were places in the system that said. Not yet. There were emotional stories not yet ready to clear.

And.

There is so much medicine is having the space to be with the truth in its wholeness. Come home, and accept the unknown. Embrace the voice of ‘what if…’

Knowing that the body and soul are gardens to be tended, each season, the tending is different.

Sovereign Touch Bodywork is based upon the idea that true healing and unwind comes when we approach the body without agenda. When we remember that the body is already wise and inherently trying to orient towards balance. Our purpose as touch-workers is not to tell the body (or our clients) what is best/right/wrong, but to listen, and initiate and support clients into hearing the whispers and language of the body expressing its needs.

May has been a season of chapters closing and new books opening.

Joy and Grief are two sides of the same portal.

I know this to be true so deep in my core, and yet, I am still in awe of these portals.

The celebrations of completion, the excitement of the new.

The grief of an ending, the hesitation to leave behind a part of you outgrown.

As this season start to change and spring unfurls to summer, I am so grateful for the past versions of myself that organized this right of passage and transition to be filled with so many magical moments.

Thus summer is an exploration to simplicity.

I will never tell you that I am a miracle worker. I don’t support the idea that there is a quick fix to the chronic problems of our body.

AND

I have seen women who have never been able to bleed without medicated support after one session have their first period un-medicated.

I’ve had women who’ve been bleeding nonstop for four months stop bleeding after one session

I’ve had women experience, pain-free s*x for the first time in their life after one session

I have had women become pregnant after years of infertility, after one session

I have held women through miracle after miracle. Our bodies are miraculous.

We live in this wild world, and humans are curious creatures who need to understand the ‘why’

Ive dedicated my life to connecting the dots and expanding my maps of the whys and the hows of

AND some of the deepest magic this living experience can hold for us is the unknown.

The unseen

One of the biggest shift I see for women who come to Sovereign Pelvic Ceremony Immersions is the surrender to the ‘I don’t know’

I will not promise any type of results when women come to work with me. But what I can promise is that when we say yes to exploring, deepening, or even beginning a relationship with the root and our body, we say yes to a whole new way of being.

It’s impossible to be unchanged by it.

I am not your healer. But I can be your guide through your own process of healing with yourself.

The special sauce in working together is YOU. And my magic is being able to hold you exactly where you are and help you find your right path home to your body.

I can’t say if this is true in every industry, but I know in this small world of hands-on/hands-in pelvic care, there is shadow.

The world of the womb space holds lots of shadows. Not just of our own making. Root work is shadow work.

I have been in this field for a little over a decade, and am in my seventh year of offering hand-on /hands in pelvic touch. My whole brand and business is build around the wisdom this sacred place has taught me and the transformation I have seen unfold from reverent relationships to her.

I have spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, and thousands of hours to educate myself and explore the different layers of this space.

I am a specialist, and have dedicated my life to the female body + psyche— to our tissues, and fluid realms—to this medicine.

And I do not own the womb.
I do not own the language she speaks, I am only a vessel for her medicine.

I was called to walk this path as one of her decibels, but I am only one person—and a human one at that.

If walking your path with pelvic healing with me besides you feels resonates, it is my honor to do so.

And if not with me, there are others who offer her medicine too. Even if it looks different than my expression, it is still valid.

Again, I do not own the womb.

The body is your birthright, and I value anyone who inspires that claiming.

One of the questions I received a lot was will I offer Intra-oral work and the Nervous System teaching online.

The truth is, probably not anytime soon. I never say never, but teaching online doesn’t inspire me right now, unless there is a in-person component.

It would also feel a bit off brand with the teachings of the social nervous system.

In Polyvagal theory, we talk about the importance of face-to-face interactions for co-regulation. And yes, we can get some sort of this processing and resourcing via zoom or online, but our evolutionary biology was not actually made to connect via screen. It was made for direct interaction.

This training is an experiential workshop. The learnings are in the experience of being together in a room with others, real time, visceral learning.

Yes, there will be some slides, and a training manual we will follow to guide us, but much of our time together is hands on. Hands on our OWN bodies. Hands Supporting Other Bodies.

You will walk away feeling a deep shift in your capacity to physically hold yourself and others in this work.

One of my favorite things about finding old photos of baby Syd…this one is circa 2014…is to be able to tell what language my brain was thinking in.

Fun fact I speak French🇫🇷 and though I am speaking in this photo, my resting French face is very different from my resting English face.

Perfected for making the ‘Ehhh’ sound and not ‘Umm’ in the pause between thoughts.

And for those who speak another language you know that we use different parts of our voice and face to express the sounds needed.

When I would come home to the US after living in France for a few years I had an slight accent. For many reasons, the cadence of speaking is different but also because I had to physically strengthen the parts of my mouth that hold the sounds. I had to regain a type of tongue mobility 👅 to not swallow my sounds.

Your resting face tells so much about the tension in your mouth. About your inner world. And we can soften that inner world and even shift it by bringing touch and awareness to how we hold our face, touch and jaw.

My teaching style is pretty unique, I think what makes great leaders and great teachers is to always know that even as you are teaching, you are a student of leadership.

One of the reasons why I love teaching teachers and facilitators— others who are masters in their own domain— is because you really get to Co-Create the space together. It creates deeper connections and reference points than my own mastery and that experience is priceless. It also moves us away from dogma.. but that is a soapbox for another time…

A big piece of holding this workshop open to anyone with a curiosity was to invite in this empowerment of collective teaching. This work supports someone from the health + wellness field as deeply as it will support someone in the corporate world.

Being in the pelvic health + s*xuality world for nearly a decade, there will be lots of connections in this workshop to the pelvis, the arousal body and the importance of the nervous system.

I can’t, not talk about those things.

I have more knowledge than most, but less in depth of the birth world. Even though they’re parallel fields. I’m so excited for the birth workers showing up for this workshop who will be able to bring in mastery to support the entire group.

I am excited that we have an ex-dentist joining us who can bring in a little bit of that world. They are body workers / energy workers from all different lineages coming together for this workshop.

I hold reverence for lived experience as a master teacher. It’s why in this two day training our whole first day is about your experience with the work, before we ever start to touch someone else’s body. Starting to validate what feels good to you, how moving through with what resonates for you, helps you better support what will resonate with your clients.

Non-agenda is about getting curious, instead of dogmatic.
