Every day, we see older adults struggling to find safe, stable, and affordable housing. HUD’s senior housing programs, especially Section 202, make a real difference — they give our aging population the dignity, independence, and support they deserve.
As our senior population grows, the need only becomes more urgent. That’s why I’m joining voices across the country in urging legislators to protect and increase funding for these critical programs.
Let’s make sure our older adults aren’t left behind.

Congress has begun its process to determine fiscal year 2026 (FY26) funding for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)’s programs.
