Inviting your little one to do more by themselves can feel intimidating at first (for you both) but the benefits are well worth it!

When you offer developmentally-appropriate ways to explore and make choices, you support your child’s competence and curiosity

NEW GROUP IN JUNE

Come collaborate, connect, and unravel with us! Bring your existing skills and discover new ones as we explore fiber arts such as finger weaving, God’s eyes, and knitting

Each group will center around a theme that reflects both personal and collective identity, inviting us to learn not only traditional handiwork but also more about ourselves and one another

Fiber arts have long supported self-sufficiency, mindfulness, emotional regulation, resilience, connection, and a sense of belonging

Join this rich lineage as we engage in the ancestral practices of tying, weaving, and threading—together in community—while experimenting, discovering, and growing

Open to ages 8 and up, this group embraces a village-minded, ecosystemic approach. Held at Inspiration Point Park in Denver

Calling all rising stars! In this imaginative and empowering group, participants will build confidence, boost self-esteem, and explore their creative side through movement, play, and theatrical expression—all inspired by the themes and characters of Wicked.

Through guided activities like role-play, choreography, and character exploration, kids will “try on” different parts of themselves in a safe and supportive space. They’ll even create their own magic wands, symbolizing the unique magic each holds inside.

This group will help young individuals:

Strengthen self-expression and confidence
Form new friendships and build community
Develop creative coping skills
Embrace their authentic selves

Together, we’ll explore powerful themes from Wicked—like friendship, identity, and what it really means to be “good”—while dancing, laughing, reflecting, and growing along the way. Join us and defy expectations, onstage and within yourself!

A poignant note from the founder of The Mariposa Center to our clinician and student team:

I am passing on to you something really important. It is a recognition that February is Black History month. With all the news that is swirling around us in the US it may have been overlooked (or at least put on the back burner). I want to amplify the importance of recognizing some amazing people and what they contributed to society and to the country.

I am grateful to Mia Malcolm (with RTC Consulting) who has been generous in putting together some amazing facts. I hope these will help you to elevate and celebrate contributions that otherwise might be neglected.

When you have a moment, please also pause to reflect on how all of us are benefitting from what they did and how their work has impacted our lives
