Not sugarcoating the 4th trimester—it’s been tough and at times overwhelming. But I’m continuing to learn just how much support matters. Meals dropped off. Texts checking in. Help without judgment.

I’m deeply grateful for the village carrying us through this season and reminding me I’m not meant to do this alone.

If you’re in it too—you deserve that support as well. 🤍

This work is personal.

Even with the support of my husband and our amazing doula for my first two births, I still walked away feeling disconnected, confused, and under-supported in my pregnancy/recovery by the rest of the birth team.

Those experiences shaped everything—how I practice, how I listen, and why I believe women deserve more comprehensive, whole-body care through pregnancy and postpartum.

This is the care I needed. Now it’s the care I try to provide 💛

Photo, doula and now friend cred: & (I adore you two and the work you do SO much)

👋🏻 Meet Mindy Hutt—a fellow mama who is committed to helping others discover how thoughtful organization can make it easier to care for yourself.

I asked Mindy to come to my home (Thornton area) to experience the magic I heard so much about myself. It was a fabulous idea as I was nesting, waiting on my third baby to arrive too. Mindy helped me handle two entryways into my home and it has been WONDERFUL. Instead of immediately walking into chaos, then further into toddler land itself—I now walk into calm…and then toddler land.

Mindy is exceptional in a multitude of organization avenues. I highly encourage you to reach out to .organized if decluttering and is of any interest to you as we head into a new year.

👋🏻 Meet Dr. Campbell—a fellow pelvic floor therapist who’s passionate about empowering women in their bodies!

Building on my last post on having options in providers in PFPT, I want to highlight Caleigh—someone who shares my specific passion for prenatal and postpartum care.

We’ve been on this business journey together from the start, connecting with each other and other local therapists to better serve our clients. She is truly a wonderful person to her core and an amazing therapist 💛

The beauty of our field is that we lift each other up to ensure our clients get the best care possible. If you’re in Denver and are looking for someone who specializes in prenatal/postpartum care, Caleigh is your gal!

Reach out to for more information—her instagram profile alone provides some awesome PFPT nuggets to consider 🤓

A moment of gratitude ahead of the holiday tomorrow—I cannot express how grateful I am for the people I have met in this space.

From all of the AMAZING women I’ve been able to work with and guide under my care, to all of the incredible fellow small business owners I’ve met and have gotten to know—thank you!!

I hope you all have joy surrounding you during this holiday 💛

Real talk is about to get very real. No sense in being here if I am not going to be vulnerable, right?

•birth: the best version I prayed for (more to come on that)

•postpartum hemorrhage: transfer to hospital due to blood loss, was on complication watch once home, extra rest required due all of the above—>all this led to starting recovery/restoration from a weaker baseline

•tongue/lip ties that ARE problematic: excruciating pain with breastfeeding from day 1 (now resolved), bottle issues, ongoing weak latch—still waiting (and working HARD) for normalcy

•HFM sickness our first week home=isolation for me and baby

•other family/friend/life stressors because life is life

•postpartum rage is real and here, along with sprinkles of anxiety

Yes we are healthy. Yes there is so much to be thankful for. Yes I am trying to give myself the grace that I would tell a friend to give. BUT yes, it SUCKS when all of your outlets feel changed and/or taken, making it difficult to decompress. It’s temporary though, I’m leaning into the joy when it’s there. I’m trying to feel everything in general when I need to. We are doing the best we can and each day is getting better.

One of the biggest fears of birth I hear about is the fear of tearing—which is an absolutely fair concern, but certainly does not mean you have to struggle in postpartum.

To give perspective: a 4th degree tear is one that goes through all the tissue layers and into the re**um. Regardless of where you give birth (hospital/home/birth center), this type of tear is repaired in the operating room and not at bedside, to be sure everything is addressed appropriately with great detail.

This brave Mama is a testament to listening to her midwife’s advice and getting on top of starting pelvic PT asap. In doing so, she excelled in her 4th trimester 🙌🏻 We did her eval at 3 weeks postpartum and had her plan of care completed in just 6 sessions!

There are a lot of factors that go into why tears happen and the severity of them, regardless—if you have experienced one, be sure to at the very least have it assessed for healing by a PFPT. There are a variety tools we can give you to get you on the right path toward recovery!

👋🏻 Meet Kelly Contreras-a birth doula, photographer, placenta encapsulation specialist, AND a fellow mom of 3 girls.

If you received my prescheduled newsletter, you already briefly met Kelly, but this post deserves much more attention post-birth.

I know I’ve highlighted the value behind having a birth doula before, but I can attest to it multiple times personally now and can’t say enough how vital their role is.

Kelly has been so attentive from day 1. She walked us through the breech debacle, gave the perfect amount of coaching and supportive touch through birth, did not leave our sides until after we were settled into the hospital post-transfer, and has continued to check on us postpartum.

I know this care from Kelly is not just because we know each other professionally as well, but because it is simply who she is. We’ve shared mutual clients and I know they’ve been just has happy with her care.

While her photography and placenta work deserve a spotlight too, that novel will be for another post ☺️ If you’re interested in her services at all for your birth journey, please reach out to for more information!

This process truly is always humbling! This time, it is ultimately testing my ability to continue to trust myself. I truly thought we wouldn’t make it past 38ish weeks with how I’ve been feeling.

Alas, this one has been keeping me on my toes since the very beginning and she will be here soon enough. I appreciate the reminder in grace little one 💛

Thanks to everyone who has been checking in on me and keeping me busy—I SO appreciate it!
