The RIM Institute, Founded by Dr. Deb Sandella Free Yourself of Hidden Blocks to Greater Success, Better Health and More Love

RIM initially began as a synthesis of techniques that access the subconscious mind directly-Somatic Therapy, Ericksonian Hypnosis and Interactive Guided Imagery and has continued to expand and evolve. RIM significantly decreases the symptoms of stress-related illness and significantly increases one's quality of life (Boxwell Dissertation, Holos University, 2004).

How comfortable are you working with clients when their biggest emotions get activated? Do you welcome that as a fantastic opportunity to go deeper? Do you worry if you really know what to do with them? Sometimes get caught up in them? We've created a 1-day workshop to Trauma-Inform Your Practice, designed for coaches, therapists, healers, retreat leaders and others who want to do safer, deeper with clients and understand the latest about how trauma works and how you can work more easily with clients who have a trauma history (which is everyone to some degree). Today, July 14th is the final day of early bird pricing for this Friday's class. See Comments.

RIM Activates Neuroplasticity Similar to Psychedelic Therapy.
Frontiers in Psychology just published the 2025 peer-reviewed research titled "How is a psychotherapeutic process like a psychedelic drug? Neurocognitive evidence for a novel mechanism of action with Regenerating Images in Memory".
If the title alone sounded cool but overwhelming, here’s what you want to know:
* RIM (Regenerating Images in Memory) may produce neurocognitive changes similar to those observed in psychedelic-assisted therapy—without using drugs.

* RIM facilitates a shift in brain state by engaging deep emotional memory networks.

* This opens a “trans liminal state”—a highly malleable, imaginative state that allows people to rewire emotional responses.

* Like psychedelics, RIM temporarily relaxes rigid patterns of thought, enabling new associations and healing to occur.

And for those of you who want to read the article itself, see the comments, we're happy to share!

RIM (Regenerating Images in Memory) has been a game changer for countless clients and the hundreds of coaches and therapists trained in the technique.

Can an innovative multi-sensory therapeutic technique (RIM) mimic the power of Psychedelics? Science Says YES!

A groundbreaking study published in Frontiers in Psychology explored how Regenerating Images in Memory (RIM)—a guided emotional processing technique—can induce profound healing shifts similar to those seen in psychedelic therapy. Here’s what they found:

* A single 1–2 hour RIM session helped release trauma and stress.
* They showed rapid improvement, with powerful results across emotional well-being measures including motivation, mood, anxiety and stress.
* Participants reported altered states of consciousness—like ineffability and emotional insight—just like in psychedelic experiences.
* Brain scans (EEG) revealed shifts from analytical thinking (frontal lobe) to intuitive processing (temporal lobe)—mirroring the brain activity of people under psychedelics.

The conclusion? RIM activates the body’s natural healing wisdom—without drugs, side effects, or long-term therapy. It taps into the subconscious, fosters emotional release, and helps the brain rewire old pain into resilience.

“This could be the future of emotional healing—accessible, fast, and deeply transformative.”

At the RIM Institute, we have seen this transformation with our students and their clients. If you’re curious how this can help you let go of old emotional pain and live more freely please contact a Certified RIM Facilitator to schedule a session and experience this powerful technique for yourself. Our Story

RIM (Regenerating Images in memory) is an effective way to rapidly release uncomfortable emotions from the body and mind. It uses the power of your imagination and body-senses to transform toxic feelings/memories/beliefs into affirming ones. Each session does a piece of work and can be done over the phone or Skype. This innovative technique teaches you how to use your organic Emotional Operating System (EOS) to naturally dissolve negative feelings and expand positive ones. RIM has been found to significantly decrease the symptoms of stress-related illness and significantly increases one's quality of life (Boxwell Dissertation, Holos University, 2004). The University of Colorado is beginning study of RIM as a brief intervention technique.

The RIM Institute offers sessions, RIM Facilitator Trainings and Personal Growth Retreats.
