I'm sitting on the lanai of my hotel room looking at the world famous Wakiki beach, sipping a cup of Hawaiian coffee, feeling extremely grateful.

Down below in that tan color building is where I would regularly attend Saturday Night Live an AA meeting. It was there I heard Noah end her talk with, "Don't leave 10 minutes before the miracle."

Hawaii is special place for me. Next month, it will be 40 years ago that my wife and I married on a little beach outside of Lahaina, Maui. My daughter was raised here, kindergarten through high school - Kapolei.

October is my sobriety birthday month. On the 10th we celebrated 32 years clean & sober.

Hawaii is also the place where we earned an AA, BA, MA, and a doctorate in clinical psychology. I could go one about the blessings and the relationships I have developed here.

God is Good!
