Self care myth 2
Self care needs to only some activity I enjoy.

Truth
Sometime self care is something you might not enjoy entirely but good for you.
For example I do not like exercise. To be honest I hate it. But walking and attending exercise class are self care.

Self care myth 1

Self care is bubble bath and expensive vacation.

Truth
Self care can be very economical. Self care is best when it is included in daily life. Like taking a few second to breath fresh air and appriciate sun shine on your body.

For stay home mamas or any mamas.

Being in a house all day with your baby is not easy at all. Regardless of how it looks from other person’s point of view.

Being with a kid all day is maddening at times.

It is not easy. I know.

Yes, good intention is important but it won’t stand alone. Same as trust and appology.

When we become parents, we make mistakes, our needs change, and sometime love in the partner relationship gets lower priority at times.

And it is good to remember these things comes hand in hand with action. Not just a feel but something others can see it as well.

What action says “I love you” to you?
What action says building trust to you?
What action speaks “i am doing my best and changing” to you?

Did you know…?

That you don’t have to love every moment of your mamahood?

That it is okay to say “this sucks” “It is way to hard. I did not sign up for this. “.

Loving parenthood and loving your baby is separate thing.

It is like saying “I love driving, but I don’t like this car I rented”.

It makes you honest human. Because parenthood is hard and ugly at times. It does not make less you or a bad mom.
