One of the biggest lessons you learn after injury is to let go of the things you can't control - to laugh at them when you can, or cry when you need to.

But it also teaches you to do your best to control the things you can. Your attitude. Your work ethic. How you show up for yourself and those around you. Giving yourself grace along the way.

It's a heck of a balance - but people like Karen make it look easy.
