IMPORTANT BIODENTIST UPDATE FROM DR. AUGSPURGER:
Dr. John here to share with you some exciting and important updates coming for BioDentist.
In the 33 years I have been practicing dentistry, I have spent the vast majority of my time right at the tip of the spear. From my work with Dr. Hal Huggins, to my apprenticeships in Switzerland, I have studied with the world’s greatest biological dentists and biological medical practitioners.
No one has supported this journey more than you, the intrepid and attentive patients who asked many of the same questions we did, and sought more for your health. Together we have helped to usher in a new era of care for the mouth and the body, and we continue to learn each day.
What’s clear to me is that it is now my responsibility to ensure the next generation of dental practitioners are even better equipped to care for our children and their children. BioDentist has always been about addressing the root issues, and restoring people to their most vital selves. It’s most imperative now that BioDentist evolves to accomplish this mission at an even greater capacity.
This means that I must give more of my energy to educating other doctors, so that people everywhere experience greater access to comprehensive care. This comes as no surprise, as even the word doctor is synonymous with teacher at its origin.
While I absolutely love working one on one with individual patients, and I will continue to do so, this also means I must reduce my booking schedule and services to create space for more teaching.
This evolution has already begun, and BioDentist has an incredible introductory training & certification scheduled this Oct 7-8, here at the HUH Institute. This training will help doctors and also their dental teams learn the correct practice of biological dentistry.
What this means for you
As a patient of BioDentist, I highly value your well being and thank you for trusting your health care to myself and my team. In order to best prepare you for the next evolution of the BioDentist practice, there are several things you need to know.
Firstly, we will no longer be booking hygiene appointments. For all current and future patients undergoing a BioDentist treatment plan, we will be referring hygiene care to our former hygienist and trusted ally in Shelby Kahl. Patients are of course welcome to choose another hygienist.
For patients who are not interested in a BioDentist treatment plan, and are seeking only to maintain hygiene, please understand that our mission is to completely heal and restore the mouth. We recognize that merely scraping away the evidence of dental disease is to neglect our mission, and that our energy is best spent with people who are similarly committed to their vitality and/or who are truly in need of advanced biological dentistry.
Lastly, as I am reducing my caseload to create space for education, I’m asking all of you with active treatment plans to complete treatment with me as soon as possible. I am guaranteeing complete treatments for all my patients, however you must schedule your appointments by the end of this year.*
As I taper BioDentist’s surgical operating hours, it will become more difficult to find an opening that works with your schedule, so please book as early as possible. Beginning January 1, 2023, I will no longer be able to guarantee that your treatment plan will be honored as quoted.
I hope this message finds you all feeling well and as excited as I am to help generate greater health in the years to come. I so appreciate each one of you for your time and dedication to vitality over the years I have known you.
