11,600 people, that is how many people in Lincoln county that depend on SNAP (food stamps) benefits. What happens if SNAP goes away? Christian Ministry of Lincoln County (CMLC) and East Lincoln Christian Ministry (ELCM) are here!
There is no reason anyone in Lincoln County should be hungry. Christian Ministry of Lincoln County is a TEFAP provider. What is TEFAP? It is The Emergency Food Assistance Program. It is the food that the government buys and we distribute. It is for anyone in LINCOLN COUNTY that financial falls into the following guidelines:
• Household of 1: $31,320 annual; $2,610 monthly.
• Household of 2: $42,312 annual; $3,526 monthly.
• Household of 3: $53,304 annual; $4,442 monthly.
• Household of 4: $64,320 annual; $5,360 monthly.
• Household of 5: $75,312 annual; $6,276 monthly.
• Household of 6: $86,304 annual; $7,192 monthly.
• Household of 7: $97,320 annual; $8,110 monthly.
• Household of 8: $108,312 annual; $9,026 monthly.
• For each additional person, add: $11,016 annually
ELCM serves the eastern area of the county Pumpkin Center, Denver, and some of Iron Station. CMLC serves the rest of the county.
CMLC also has donated food from our member churches, local business, schools, social groups and individuals. To receive this food, we ask for proof of your address, who is in your home, and the household income.
CMLC has a soup kitchen that is open every day from 11:30a to 12:30p. Anyone can come and eat, no questions asked.
