For years, Physio Pro has been rehabilitating snowriders of all levels following injuries. Numerous athletes ranging from recreational to professional riders have used our services for their rehab needs. In 2000 we developed our ACL Enhancement Program and have had enormous success in preventing catastrophic knee injuries with this treatment regime. We felt it was time to develop a snowrider specific enhancement/injury prevention program due to the large volume of injuries we were seeing in our clinic every winter and spring. This program is different than your average dry-land program put on at a health club. Wintervention was developed by physical therapists who have over 60+ years of cumulative experience in the orthopedic clinical setting. Our therapists compiled all the relevant evidence-based research when developing this program. Our team of experienced therapists, collaborated together to form a multifaceted program that not only increases overall fitness and riding performance, but also helps to identify and treat faulty biomechanics which may increase susceptibility to injuries. This program is tailored to meet the demands of your riding. Whether you are a telemark skier, a snowboarder, or alpine skier, the program will meet the demands of your sport. Each sport utilizes different movement patterns and individual muscles. This along with the different planes of motion have to be considered to develop a program that is appropriate and effective for injury prevention and sports enhancement.
