Have you ever said something in the heat of the moment that didn’t feel fully like you? Kimberly teaches that in parts work, we can speak for our parts (‘a part of me feels anxious’) instead of from them (‘I am anxious’).
It’s a small change in language that makes a big difference in how we relate to ourselves—and each other.

Anxiety can feel so isolating—but healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Kenna reminds us that safety and growth are built in relationship. You don’t have to navigate the hard moments alone. 💙

"Progress in healing isn’t about giant leaps—it’s about the small, consistent steps you take toward yourself. Each moment you choose compassion over criticism, curiosity over judgment, you’re building a life that feels safer and more whole." 💛

Some of the pain you carry didn’t begin with you — but it lives in you all the same.

It Didn’t Start With You by Mark Wolynn explores how trauma can be passed down through generations — not just in stories, but in nervous systems, beliefs, and patterns.

If you’ve ever wondered why certain fears, struggles, or emotions feel so deep-rooted — this book offers a compassionate lens.
Not to assign blame, but to open a door to healing.

💬 “Trauma is the story of what’s not spoken, not remembered, and not grieved.”

At Restoration Hope, we know: healing often means naming what wasn’t named before.
This book gently helps you do that.

"Neurofeedback uses your brain’s own ability to change as a tool for healing. By giving your brain real-time feedback, it learns to shift out of patterns that keep you stuck—whether that’s anxiety, difficulty focusing, or sleep struggles. You’re not forcing change… you’re training your brain to remember what balance feels like." 💛

"Growth can feel messy, slow, and uncomfortable. But every small step you take toward understanding yourself is shaping a life you don’t have to fight to live. You’re not starting over—you’re unfolding into who you were always meant to be." 💛

If grief feels like too much... or not enough... or like something no one around you seems to understand — this one’s for you.

💬 “Some things cannot be fixed. They can only be carried.”

It’s OK That You’re Not OK by Megan Devine offers language for what so often goes unspoken.
It’s not about moving on. It’s about honoring loss, feeling the weight of it, and being human inside it all.

At Restoration Hope, we believe healing starts with being witnessed — not rushed or fixed. This book holds that same kind of space.

Follow for more gentle tools, deep care, and books we truly love.

Brain Fact 🧠
Your brain loves a good beat.

Walking. Rocking. Drumming your fingers. Breathing slow and steady.
These rhythms aren’t random — they’re regulation.

When life feels chaotic, your nervous system looks for pattern and pace.
Move your body… and your brain might just exhale.

"Healing doesn’t always look like bubble baths and quiet nights in. Sometimes, it’s showing up to therapy when it’s the last thing you want to do. It’s having the hard conversation. It’s telling the truth—to yourself, and to others. That’s courage. That’s care. And it’s worth every step." 💛

Healing isn’t about ‘getting over it.’ It’s about giving your mind and body the safety they need to integrate, release, and grow. This book is one of my favorites for understanding the deep connection between trauma, the brain, and the body — and why hope is always possible." 💛

Your brain keeps growing well into your 20s — especially the parts that process fear and safety.

The amygdala (your brain’s alarm system) develops later than we often realize.
That means trauma in childhood, adolescence, or young adulthood can leave a deep imprint — especially on how safe or unsafe the world feels.

The good news? That same brain is capable of healing.
With time, support, and regulation, we can retrain the nervous system to respond from safety instead of survival.

At Restoration Hope, we hold space for that kind of rewiring.
Because healing isn’t just emotional — it’s neurobiological, too.

We live in a world that rushes everything — including healing.
But trauma doesn’t move on a timeline. And growth isn’t linear.

If you’re taking small steps, sitting with hard truths, or just surviving today — that matters.
Progress isn’t about speed. It’s about staying with yourself as you heal.

🌱 Gentle reminder: there is no “behind” in healing. You are right on time.
