Kay Neuhausel graduated from Denver Seminary in 2008 with a masters in counseling. A Licensed Professional Counselor since 2012, she specializes in child, individual and family therapy. Her clients include those who have experienced a wide variety of traumas, including abuse, grief and loss, neglect, divorce/separation. Her clients often struggle with behavioral problems, attachment issues, anger management, PTSD, depression and/or anxiety. Kay works alongside families at Joshua Station, a transitional housing facility for homeless families, as therapist, counseling intern supervisor and trauma informed care specialist. Her therapy is solution-focused as she works with her clients to form unique treatment plans suited to their needs. With a highly personalized approach tempered with a great deal of compassion, understanding and care for each individual client, she guides clients towards the changes and growth they desire. She is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Children (TF-CBT) and is a certified EMDR therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Kay's value for helping her clients live more authentic lives encouraged her to pursue becoming a Daring WayTM Facilitator-Candidate in 2014. She has found that daring to Show Up, Be Seen, Live BraveTM is both challenging and immensely rewarding both personally and professionally.
