This week's parsha reminds us that:

đź’Ş Even the strongest leaders carry emotional burdens.

💔 Grief and burnout are real—and we all need support.

✨ Healing comes in many forms: ritual, rest, community, and courage.

As our ancestors faced grief in the wilderness, they kept going—together. This Shabbat, may we do the same.

Clinician and educator Adam Karp, LMHCC, had a great time at Camp Shwayder in Colorado earlier this month! 🏕️

He says:

"Being a camp counselor is a unique experience. It’s different from a teacher or babysitter. They are in a position to support campers as they grow and expand their comfort zones. Through the lens of a Full Value contract, we discussed what it means to allow campers to explore and what to do when their exploration is into a dangerous or unproductive territory and how to locate themselves in the ecosystem of support for the campers during the summer."

This week’s Torah portion reminds us how easy it is to fall into the trap of comparison—and how destructive it can be.

Korach wanted more. More power. More status. But in chasing what wasn’t his, he lost sight of who he was.

You don’t have to be anyone else. 💙
Your role matters—just as it is.

This Shabbat, let’s quiet the inner voice of “not enough” and reconnect to the sacredness of being fully ourselves.🕊️

🌍 There’s so much happening right now—and if you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply exhausted, you’re not alone.

You don’t have to carry it all by yourself.
We’re in this with you—one breath at a time. 🤝

Here are 7 gentle ways to care for yourself through these deeply human emotions. đź’›

In this week's Parsha, Beha’alotecha, we are reminded that burnout is real—even for leaders.

This week, may we learn from Moses:
🧠 Mental strain is not weakness.
🙌 Asking for help is strength
đź’™Leadership is about growth and adaptation.
🤝Healing happens through community, compassion, and shared responsibility.

This Shabbat, may we remember: strength grows when we share the load. Reach out, rest, and heal.

As the semester ends and you transition back home, it’s normal to feel a mix of emotions—relief, excitement, or even anxiety.

Whether you're returning to a supportive environment or one that feels complicated, your mental health matters.

🧠✨ Summer Tips:
• Reflect + rest (hello, cheshbon hanefesh + menuchah)
• Stay connected—to friends, a therapist, or your support system
• Find grounding in local or virtual Jewish spaces
• Give yourself permission to feel. And to heal.

🏠 Home isn’t just where you are—it’s how you care for yourself, too.

This week’s Parsha, Naso, reminds us that healing is sacred.💓

From restoring trust in broken relationships, to setting personal boundaries like the Nazir, to the power of words in the Priestly Blessing—each moment points to the emotional and spiritual care embedded in Torah. 🫶

✨May this Shabbat be a time to slow down, reset, and reconnect—with yourself, with others, and with what matters most.

We are heartbroken by the terror attack at Sunday's Run for Their Lives event in Colorado. Our thoughts are with all who were impacted.

Colorado is the birthplace of BaMidbar, and we stand with the Jewish community—in grief, in resilience, and in hope.

Shavuot is the holiday of revelation—not just at Mount Sinai, but within ourselves.

As we remember standing together to receive the Torah, we’re reminded that growth, healing, and mental clarity don’t come all at once. They come through preparation, patience, and community—just like the 49 days of the Omer.

This Shavuot, may we honor the mental health journeys in our communities and within ourselves.
✨ May we give ourselves permission to rest.
✨ To listen.
✨ To grow slowly.
✨ To receive support as sacred.

Because healing is holy. And your wholeness matters. đź’›

This week's Torah portion, Bamidbar (our namesake — 🤭), is about identity, structure, and purpose within community.

The Israelites were counted not to be reduced to numbers, but to be recognized. Each person, each tribe, had a place, a role, and a purpose.

Belonging isn’t just about being present — it’s about being seen and valued. 💛

Mental health begins with knowing you matter.

Like the tribes in the wilderness, YOU have a place. You have a purpose. You belong. You are part of something bigger. 🤩

Wishing you a Shabbat filled with clarity, connection, and calm. 💖🕊️
