It was January and she had yet to find inspiration for a New Year’s Resolution. At that point, she had been living in Los Angeles for just 10 months, as she looked back at all the people she had met that year, one stood out in particular. It was a 65 year old yoga instructor that could still do Vrischika-asana, Scorpion Pose. This woman was so calm, collected and serene; she was a breath of fresh
air. After meeting that woman, Erin felt compelled to explore yoga. Finally, her New Year’s Resolution came into focus, to find something outside of work that she loved and it was yoga. Erin has always known that healing would be a part of her life and that she would somehow try to make a difference in the world. Since she’s found yoga, her journey of using yoga to heal and motivate is underway. Erin believes that yoga can be interwoven into every element of one’s life, that’s why she always incorporates an inspiring theme into her hatha class to encourage and empower students to bring positive change into their lives. Through yoga, Erin has learned to manage her anxiety using breath and grounding, release her neck pain with therapeutic poses and to manage unexpected change with grace. Erin received her certification from Christy Marsden at Yoga Blend, is registered with Yoga Alliance, has had the opportunity to teach yoga to the employees of the Oprah Winfrey Network and recently taught at NATPE, an international television conference in Miami. In her classes, Erin’s intention is to create a fun, open, loving environment where her students can embrace their confidence, strength and self-love.
