Sarah Niles is mesmerizing in this season of “Ted Lasso.” Her performance as Dr. Sharon Fieldstone, the new team psychologist, is so deeply rooted in truth and humanity, love and kindness, that I have just one word for the show’s creators: spin-off.

Getting to talk with Sarah for this week’s “Unlocking Us” was a gift. We dive into her background in the theater, her commitment to story, and how she’s harnessed her self-proclaimed superpower: vulnerability.

I loved this conversation!

If you want to see how Big Food companies exploit Americans, look no further than Pop Tarts.

Kellogg’s makes Pop Tarts in America with...

⚠️ Three ARTIFICIAL COLORS derived from petroleum and linked to hyperactivity in children, which requires a warning label in Europe.

⚠️ CARAMEL COLOR created by heating ammonia and sulfites under high pressure – a process that produces a compound linked to cancer.

⚠️ The preservative TBHQ which disrupts the immune system and increases risk of allergies.

⚠️ HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP linked to increased risk of weight gain, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer and dementia.

The versions they make in other countries contain none of those nasty ingredients.

While I wouldn’t consider the U.K. version “healthy” it’s a far cry from the chemical-laden tarts they are marketing for children in America.

This is MADDENING when you think about how many children eat these on a daily basis.

Why doesn’t Kellogg’s just use the same ingredients everywhere?

Europe takes a “precautionary principle” approach towards food additives that are potentially risky. They ban or add warning labels to these additives for their citizens.

Meanwhile, the U.S. allows food companies to largely police itself, deciding which ingredients, chemicals, and additives are “safe” to use in their product.

If a company can get away with using cheaper ingredients, they will!

If there was one thing that opened up my eyes to how corrupt the food industry is… THIS IS IT.

I took back my power and my health – and I want to help you do the same.

The food industry doesn’t care about your health, so you really need to.

Please share this far and wide to help others see the truth!

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the government is not looking after you. Food corporations are not looking after you. They are not responsible for...nor do they care...if you are healthy, obese, or sick.

This is why you must…

✔️ Be fussy about your food choices. Get savvy about what you’re eating. The less a food has been processed, the more it benefits your health.

✔️ Read labels – not so much the calories or carbs in a product, but the list of ingredients in the food.

✔️ Eat organic, real food; it’s the best way to protect yourself.

✔️ Remember there are more than 10,000 ingredients added to our food, thousands of which are untested. You don’t have to know them all. But if a product isn’t real food, it’s obvious when reading the ingredient list.

✔️ Be aware of what you are putting into your body and how it may affect you.

Don’t ever forget it. ✌️

Here’s why High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) is one of the top ingredients to avoid...

HFCS makes you gain weight largely by impacting two hormones, insulin and leptin.

When you ingest HFCS, insulin skyrockets, and insulin promotes fat storage.

Not only does this sweetener make your insulin level surge, it also wreaks havoc on the hormone leptin, the body’s appetite switch. HFCS throws that switch, and you get so hungry you want to eat everything in sight.

The result: your body gets very adept at hoarding fat.

A study published in the International Journal of Obesity in 2008 noted that the rise in obesity in the last 35 years has paralleled the rising use of HFCS, which made its debut on the food scene just before 1970.

The good news is that you can easily avoid it by reading the ingredient list on your food. You’ll find it in dressings, sauces, soups, breads, crackers, yogurts, and more, so don’t forget to check.

Know anyone who might still be eating HFCS? Share this and spread the word!
