—- About This Meditation From Ally —-
My favorite time to engage in a gratitude practice is often in bed at the end of the day. Taking intentional time to connect with something we feel grateful for by intentionally bringing that experience forward through our thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations can help us reprogram our natural human conditioning toward negativity bias, which conditions us to scan for what’s wrong.
Even 30 seconds of pausing and reflecting on a gratitude in this way is proven to have powerful impacts on body, mind, and spirit. You don’t have to wait until bed time to practice, you can use this whenever you feel called.
Cultivating a regular practice can help us when things feel difficult from the personal to the larger cultural context we are living in, this can support us in moving out of vigilance and into the freedom that these glimmers of experiences have to offer.

This series is for anyone curious about meditation, whether you’re brand new, returning to a past practice, or longing to explore meditation more deeply in community.
We’ll meet weekly on Sundays creating a steady rhythm of practice and return. Meditation is the practice of returning, again and again, to ourselves. Practicing returning together each week in a supportive container can help that feel more possible in our own practice. We’ll explore different guided meditation practices: breath awareness, loving-kindness (mettā), and gentle movement meditation with intentional space built in for questions and reflection. Between classes, you’ll receive access to guided meditations, journal prompts, and a community chat where recordings are shared and reflections and questions are welcome.
By the end of the series, you’ll have a strong foundation and tools to support an ongoing meditation practice, planting seeds for continued growth and deeper connection.
