Expert in-person/ telemedicine outpatient medical care for people with eating disorders.

The Gaudiani Clinic provides expert outpatient medical care to individuals of all genders, ages, and sizes with eating disorders or disordered eating. The Gaudiani Clinic also offers person-centered care to those who are recovered from an eating disorder. All care at the Gaudiani Clinic is provided using a weight neutral and Health At Every Size-informed treatment model of medicine. Through a collaborative and communicative approach, the Gaudiani Clinic cares for the whole person, in the context of their values. Under the care of Gaudiani Clinic physicians, patients receive expert internal and family medicine care provided in a comfortable and discreet private practice setting. Gaudiani Clinic founder and medical director, Dr. Jennifer Gaudiani, is one of the only outpatient internists in the United States who carries the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Supervisor designation, and is internationally recognized as an expert in the eating disorder field. The Gaudiani Clinic uses a hybrid concierge treatment model and is located in Denver, Colorado with both local and telemedicine treatment plans available.

We first met Elizabeth Ayiku in 2018 when she was working on her beautiful film, Me Little Me. In the years since, Elizabeth has created the Me Little Me Foundation to help people secure access to food and other basic necessities. At a time when SNAP benefits are being limited and many workers are going without pay, it is even more important to help fund the Me Little Me virtual pantry to help provide nourishment to those in need.

For the next week (through Friday, November 14th), we're partnering with the to raffle and ship 20 signed and personalized copies of the new edition of Dr. Gaudiani's book, Sick Enough: A Guide to the Medical Complications of Eating Disorders and Undernutrition. We're honored to once again partner with Whitney Trotter and Angela Goens of the BIPoC Eating Disorders Conference to offer a special scholarship with the Gaudiani Clinic for BIPoC individuals. With this collaboration, the Gaudiani Clinic offers discounted care and the BIPoC Eating Disorders Conference has provided funds to help cover discounted fees. We'll be accepting applications for this special award through December 15. We will also be accepting applications for four Aaron's Gift discounted care awards through the end of November. It has been an exciting and joy-filled (see first photo captured during our video recording of the unboxing!) day at the Gaudiani Clinic as we received some advance copies of the 2nd edition of Sick Enough from Routledge Books. It is currently available for preorder via Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, Routledge,and more; order today to receive it on its November 10th publication date! Preorders help authors by letting publishers and booksellers know that there is demand and desire for a book so more preorders=more availability=more visibility=more readers and awareness of eating disorders=(we hope!) fewer eating disorders and/or better recognition and treatment of eating disorders.

It's flu shot time! We're big fans of vaccines as they help protect individuals AND communities (especially vulnerable humans, like those with eating disorders and other health conditions). It's ideal to get your flu shot by the end of October. The Gaudiani Clinic is offering free flu shots to our patients and local providers, and folks in other areas can get their (usually free or low-cost) shots by searching the Vaccines.gov website for a local clinic. It's quick and easy with relatively few side effects with temporary arm soreness being the most commonly reported side effect. Also, be sure to take extra care with handwashing and good self-care as we enter flu season!

Last week, we asked our wonderful online communities about what clinicians wanted to know about providing the best care for those with longstanding eating disorders and also what those with longstanding eating disorders wanted clinicians to know. SO many people shared such thoughtful, helpful, and impactful thoughts. While Dr. G, Elyse Resch, and Dr. Beth Hartman McGilley will be gratefully reviewing each and every comment, message, and email that was sent to prepare for their Renfrew keynote presentation, the main themes that kept showing up in the numerous messages from those with longstanding eating disorders were so impactful that we wanted to ensure everyone received the opportunity to see and learn from them.

For a few special days every year, we eat delicious food together for all of the meals and snacks of the day ("Team-giving" dinner pictured), walk amongst the stunning Aspen trees, dance, sing, and learn the latest viral dance trends from Kennedy, and dream about the upcoming year for our work and patients.
