It’s National School Breakfast Week 2026, and this year’s theme “The Quest for School Breakfast” reminds us that every great school day starts with a powerful first step: a healthy breakfast.

Eating breakfast helps students improve focus, boost memory, maintain energy levels, and perform better academically. Studies show that kids who eat breakfast are more likely to meet daily nutrient needs, have better attendance, and feel ready to learn.

Aurora Public Schools joins CSNA for Day of Advocacy Meeting with Rep. Lindsay!

Three members of Aurora Public Schools Nutrition Services along with other members of CSNA visited the Colorado State Capitol to advocate for child nutrition programs on February 4th. They were able to meet with Rep. Lindsay and discuss the importance of upholding funding for the recent Prop LL and MM that passed last fall to ensure all students in the state can eat breakfast and lunch for free.
