Acetaminophen is an over-the-counter medicine used to reduce fevers and relieve pain. It is sold under many brand names, including Tylenol.

Decades of research have found that acetaminophen is safe for children when administered as recommended. Misleading claims link the medicine to autism. These false claims send a confusing, dangerous message to parents and expectant parents and does a disservice to autistic individuals. Read more at the link below.

Starting October 1st babies 10 months and younger can get Beyfortus to reduce the risk of getting severe RSV. It is already made antibodies that help reduce the risk of getting RSV as well as keeps the illness mild. Ask us about it!

Some of you may have noticed a new, friendly face in the office! We want to introduce you to the amazing Dr. Melber. Dr. Alyssa Melber joined Sapphire Pediatrics in 2025. She is a board certified fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She earned her MD degree from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2020 in Buffalo, NY. She completed her pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been practicing pediatrics in Denver since 2023. Her interests in pediatrics include getting to care for kids of all ages, especially the newborns. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
