We know that many people may be facing some struggles with food these coming months and we wanted to share resources. Hunger free Colorado has many resources on where to find food resources near you. The Food resource hotline 855-855-4626 can be helpful, too. Don't miss we don't waste mobile food markets are a great resource - check them out. The 211 number is great for other resources families may need like housing.

Halloween is almost here . Make sure we stay safe by checking that costumes fit well, no long straggling pieces, kids are visible with glow sticks and flashlights, walk trick or treat routes beforehand in the daylight, set meeting times and places for older kids, cross at street corners and verify cars are stopping as drivers may be distracted. Have well lit porches to prevent trips, double check candies for food allergens.

Last year was the worst influenza season since 2009. The flu vaccine is a great way to keep kids healthy and helps them miss less days of school. It is the best "supplement" to keep your kid healthy this winter. It also helps protect those around you, like newborn babies. Be a superhero- get your flu shot.

🚨 At least 153 unvaccinated students in South Carolina are under quarantine for 21 days after being exposed to measles. The state’s outbreak has grown to at least 8 cases with a total of 11 measles cases reported in South Carolina in 2025. 📈

Measles is extremely contagious and continues to spread across the country. 🦠 The U.S. has now confirmed 1,563 cases—the highest seen in three decades—and experts say the true total is likely higher. 💔

From Dr. Paul Offit: “If you talk to people on the ground...they all say the same thing, which is that the numbers are much worse than that. Probably closer to 5,000 cases. And it’s not done.”

Not only does the MMR vaccine save lives and prevent the spread of measles, but it keeps kids in school, parents at work, and families in routines. 🎒✨

Kids need 2 doses, starting at 12 months old. If you live in an outbreak area or are traveling soon, talk with your pediatrician about an early, additional dose at 6 months old. 👶🛡️
