If you are a family whose children are covered by a Medicaid Managed Care Plan. Below is as a way families may be able to link with food.  Please note, many of these Medicaid plans have certain qualifying requirements and may vary in how families document they qualify, and there are steps needed to receive food benefits, if the family qualifies for any, per their plan.

Here are some food or cash benefits you and/ or your children/family may qualify for:
* AmeriHealth: Up to 14 home-delivered meals after hospital stay.
* CCH: $20/month for 6 months to a Visa Food Reward card to members who qualify based on a care needs screening; $75/year to a Visa Rewards card for certain preventive screening and healthy behaviors (many relate to children); $250 post hospitalization home delivered meals
* Healthy Blue: Up to $40 per month for up to 3 months for fresh fruits and vegetables; up to $75 rewards for members who complete certain well visits, screenings, etc. up to $25 for completing 1st prenatal visit and postpartum care visit.
* United: Free fresh fruits and vegetable for 6 months for members who qualify ($240 value); $25 gift card for youth grades 6-12 who qualify and have a GPA of at least 3.5; home delivered meals after hospital stay
* WellCare: $75/year for completing certain preventative health care; 10 home delivered meals for qualified members with preapproval
* Partners: $20 gift card for annual wellness visit
* Trillium: Up to $25 in food vouchers for completing healthy lifestyle classes
* Vaya: $10 gift card for flu shot; $10 gift card for COVID shot; free breast pump

That’s two wins — 2023 and 2025! 💙

And we’re extra proud that Dr. Nadra received the 2024 Outstanding Pediatrician Award from the NC Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. 👏🏼
