East Lincoln Animal Hospital

East Lincoln Animal Hospital Our hospital staff takes pride in providing the best care for your pet. In 1986 the hospital moved to a larger rented building still off of old Highway 16.

The History of East Lincoln Animal Hospital

East Lincoln Animal Hospital was founded by Dr. David Wilson in 1978. Its beginnings were small in a small trailer off of old Highway 16 beside the Catholic Church. Dr. Wilson practiced solo until 1988 when he hired his first associate. In 2000 the hospital became a 4 doctor practice and continued to grow. In 2004 East Lincoln Animal Hospital moved to a new building off of Highway 73 (where you see it today). Over the years the hospital has gained many clients and patients and with the growing need the hospital is now a 9 doctor practice. We would like to inform our valued clients that, effective Monday March 3rd, we will be operating with a reduced staff due to a voluntary reduction of staff. Dr. Crawford and Dr. Redden will be available to see appointments moving forward. Please be patient with our staff as the doctors schedules are booking up.

Our hours of operation will remain the same and we will continue to keep you updated with any further changes. We greatly appreciate your continued trust and support during this time.

Thank you for choosing East Lincoln Animal Hospital!

🏋️‍♀️ Set Up a Play Session:
Engage your cat in daily playtime with laser pointers, feather wands, or anything that gets them moving.

🛠 Create a Cat Enrichment Space:

A Healthy Pet is a Happy Pet! 🐾

Did you know that maintaining your pet’s ideal weight can add years to their life? Obesity in pets is linked to serious health issues like arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, and even decreased energy levels. But managing your furry friend’s weight doesn’t have to be overwhelming!

Tips for Success:
✔️ Measure meals carefully to avoid overfeeding.
✔️ Opt for high-quality, nutritionally balanced pet food.
✔️ Make exercise fun with walks, playtime, or interactive toys.
✔️ Swap out high-calorie treats for healthier options or fresh veggies.

💡 Regular weigh-ins and veterinary check-ups can help track progress and adjust as needed.

Save This Life microchip company has unfortunately gone out of business. Which, East Lincoln Animal Hospital used prior to Nov 11th 2024. It’s important to act quickly to get your pet re-registered with another provider to ensure their microchip remains active and traceable.

1. Here's a summary of what you'll need to do:
To obtain your pet’s microchip number (if you don’t already have it) contact East Lincoln Animal Hospital. This is necessary for the new registration.

2. Choose a new microchip provider:
Home Again
AKC Reunite
Petkey
These are a few options you can consider to register your pet's microchip.

3. Register your pet with the new company to ensure their microchip remains active and traceable in case they get lost.

4. Once you receive confirmation that your microchip has been registered with the new company there is no need to contact East Lincoln Animal Hospital.

Thank you,
ELAH Staff

Dental disease can sometimes lead to oral cancer, a serious and often life-threatening condition. Oral cancer in pets can be difficult to spot early, but here are some common signs to watch for:

1. Bad Breath: Persistent, foul-smelling breath that doesn’t improve with regular dental care.
2. Difficulty Eating or Chewing: If your pet seems hesitant to eat, drops food, or has trouble chewing, it could be a sign of pain in the mouth.
3. Excessive Drooling: Unexplained drooling or drooling with blood.
4. Swelling or Lumps: Noticeable bumps or swelling in or around the mouth, gums, or jaw.
5. Discolored Gums or Tongue: Unusual redness, swelling, or ulcers on the gums, tongue, or mouth lining.
6. Bleeding or Sores: Persistent sores or bleeding in the mouth that don’t heal.

If you notice any of these signs, it’s essential to consult with your veterinarian for a thorough examination. Early detection can make a big difference in treatment options. 🐾🦷
