The Narcotics Anonymous Memorial Page is a place we, addicts, can place a small memorial for fellow addicts who have gone before us. We don't feel there is any shame if an individual succumbs to this disease. We understand, as best we can, the nature of the beast. This page will benefit us in sharing the life of those we lost on a topic-specific page. It is also a place where people who have lost friends or sponsors in the fellowship would like to share how this person changed their life. To start a new memorial, post a new comment to the page. Those of us who want to continue to share, post a few pictures, and share information we may have about our brother or sister in NA. We hope this site will not only be a place where we can grieve, but also a page to learn from. I think old-timers will agree, so this message is to the most important person. This site is not to put anyone on a pedestal. It's a page where we share someone special in the Narcotics Anonymous program. Sharing a person's full name after death, because they have passed on from this world and being anonymous in most cases, doesn't matter to us. If family members disagree, or we who knew this person well knew to wish otherwise, it is left to discretion. We also hope this page allows a person's story to continue to serve us, addicts, for years to come, because all of our stories cannot be replaced and give much to learn. It also keeps this disease in the forefront of our minds, ever reminding us that each of us has but a 24-hour reprieve from the dragon.
