Sleep is foundational to overall health, especially metabolic health!

Poor blood sugar regulation can actually wake us up from sleep. If we have unstable blood sugars this can result in drops in the blood sugar happening through the night which will actually wake us up from our sweet sweet dreams.

In turn this can alter how well the metabolism functions the next day šŸ‘Ž

The good news? This can all be easily addressed through diet and lifestyle changes!

Restrictive diets don’t work.

They’re not sustainable and they will almost always result in even more weight gain in return.

Restoring your metabolism to work optimally for your health and happiness doesn’t mean you need to give up all your favorite foods.

It also doesn’t mean that you have to always eat perfectly.

See, a healthy metabolism is a heck of a lot less fussy than a broken one. She can handle a weekend of indulgence, a vacation of carb loading, a party with sweet drinks and even sweeter treats.

Because she knows how to bounce back, she’s flexible, resilient, and most importantly she’s working with you- not against you.

So, if you’ve been on a pattern of restrict, restrict more, and then break. Or if your restrict so you can reward 😳 you’re making it way more difficult than it needs to be. You’re also stressing out your body, and a stressed out body isn’t doing anyone any favours. The good news is, your can rebalance your metabolism and metabolic hormones through a metabolic restoration. You just may need a little guidance and step by step plan to get you there.

Investing in yourself feels SO GOOD.

Investing money, time, energy into your goals and aspirations can be scary and even feel selfish but it’s worth it.

Investing in yourself creates a better version of YOU. And a happier more aligned you makes for a better; boss, employee, daughter, friend, partner, mom, etc.

There’s no better feeling than watching women step into their power as they go through The Metabolic Restoration Method. To celebrate alongside these women who have chosen to invest into their wellbeing and dedicate the time, energy, and practice of making these changes is magical. Celebrating the wins together; the shifts in their energy, sleep, mood, self confidence, skin. Hearing that their clothes fit better, they have the energy to be present for their kids, and my personal favorite ā€œI’m just happierā€

Investing in yourself helps you to find alignment with your purpose and reach that place where you feel confident and fulfilled by your daily routine and duties.

Investing in yourself builds your self confidence and your trust in yourself.

Investing is practicing self respect, admiring your own worthiness, listening and giving your body what it desires. Doing things in the now to contribute to your growth in any and all realms. It can be simple or extravagant, it can be time, energy, money... Something you want but don’t need. Guess what! You need it, you deserve it. Take action and prove to yourself that you’re worth it and you believe in yourself.

And once you find your confidence and alignment, the best things happen. It trickles into EVERY single aspect of your life. Things start to fall into place, things start to all ā€œgo rightā€

So spend the money, spend the time, spend the energy on yourself because I promise you it will be worth it and come back 10 times full. Trust In yourself and your abilities to create your favorite reality that makes you excited to show up šŸ’•

🚫First things first, there’s no secret drink or fat burning smoothie that’s going to solve all your metabolic problems.

āš ļø We also need to remember, you can’t out supplement a bad diet.

šŸ“š However, many health crazes do often have some roots in research. The problem is that by the time they’ve become the next ā€œmagic pillā€ in diet culture, the original intervention from the studies has been so altered from what was originally implemented that the intervention will lose most of thee efficacy.

āœ…This happened with Apple Cider Vinegar. There’s some promising research that shows ACV can help with:

🩸Post prandial glucose spikes
🩸Insulin sensitivity
🩸Lipid panels

It’s through these mechanisms that it can help support metabolic health and consequently, weight loss.

āŒ but no, this doesn’t mean you can take a shot of acv every morning and the weight will melt off or give you perfect metabolic markers. The dose, the timing to take acv to meals, even the type of food your eating, and the individual root cause behind the weight loss resistance all affect the efficacy of this intervention.

A general suggestion-
āœ…Look at the actual literature weight loss and or metabolic claims are rooted in. If there’s good evidence behind them then implement interventions exactly as were done in the studies
āœ…Work with a healthcare provider to oversee interventions to ensure they are safe for YOU
āœ… Have a way to measure if interventions you start are working for you. An example: blood work.

Did you know counting calories is actually shown in the literature to be pretty inaccurate? Some estimates suggest that food labels are more than 20% off on their calorie estimates.

The way an individuals body is going to respond to any calories varies significantly on their metabolic health and hormones.

On top of all that, I know you’re busy, and you probably have better things to be doing than taking too much time counting calories…

Do you ever feel like you go through lots of ups and downs throughout the day? This can often be caused by periods of high blood sugar (HYPERglycemia), followed by crashes of the blood sugar levels resulting in low blood sugar (HYPOglycemia). Throughout the day we call this Dysglycemia or Poor blood sugar control AKA Being on the Blood Sugar Roller Coaster

Signs of being on the Blood Sugar Roller Coaster:
Feeling irritated or ā€œhangryā€
Episodes of feeling light headed or getting the shakes
Experiencing Cravings
Anxiety and or low mood
Feeling sleepy
Headaches and brain fog
Heart palpitations
An elevated HbA1c, fasting glucose, fasting insulin, HS-CRP, cortisol and/or poor cholesterol markers on labs.

The Solution: A good place to first focus your efforts to improving this is learning how to pair your macros properly. No counting, no restrictions, just simply and adequately pairing them. If you are struggling with significant symptoms or sub-optimal lab results regarding your metabolic health there are many many tools to help you overcome and resolve that.

A little about my purpose✨

When I was formally creating the Metabolic Restoration Method, although the passion and alignment I felt for working in this niche was so overpowering, I was nervous to step into this space because I didn’t want to be seen as promoting diet culture or certain beauty standard.

I didn’t want to represent or support the faulted standards of female beauty or worth because I deeply understand the inaccurate belief that weight corresponds to health. This is fundamentally inaccurate. I want to shift the old school thought that poor metabolic health and carrying extra weight is related to self control while It’s actually an outcome of certain physiological imbalances.

I wanted to create The Metabolic Restoration Method to help women restore the foundations of health, specifically metabolic health, because with this the feminine energy is powerful and unstoppable.

Through restoring our hormones affecting our metabolism, we get the ultimate superpowers of the divine feminine.

Women create and we deserve the tools to step into our strongest strengths to do sošŸ’•

So sure the weight loss can be nice, there’s literally nothing wrong with wanting that. However, in The Metabolic Restoration Method we are achieving beyond this, we are reversing the risk of diabetes, correcting symptoms of PCOS, reversing pre-diabetes, reducing risk of certain cancers, heart disease, dementia, mental illness. We are restoring the metabolic balance that allows women to feel their most authentic selves.

Thats my purpose. Insulin resistant weight loss issues are completely reversible. If you’re interested in this 10 Week program that gives you all the evidence based and result oriented steps to correcting your metabolic health follow the link in bio to book your FREE 45 minute onboarding call to for The Metabolic Restoration Method. Do you know your fasting insulin level?

This can be negatively altered even prior to seeing other blood sugar markers elevated.

The good news? If insulin resistance is addressed early on, we can avoid the scary long term effects of poor metabolic health.
