Remember how I like plants? Well, I teamed up with gardening guru Kevin Espiritu from for a few short podcast episodes on the benefits of gardening on mental health and how to garden mindfully. It was super fun! While there isn't direct research on ADHD and gardening, safe to say there is a likely benefit, since research points to increased concentration, improved mood, decreased anxiety, better immunity, and overall improved health outcomes with regular gardening. πŸ…πŸŒΌπŸŒ± If you enjoy gardening and aren't yet familiar with Epic Gardening, check out Kevin's popular and SUPER helpful YouTube channel, podcast, and blog. Much of my love of gardening and my now green thumb is thanks to Kevin and Epic Gardening! Also, he's got a great book out, The Field Guide to Urban Gardening. 10/10 recommend! 🌱

Hey there ADHD friends! You know how ADHD life is exhausting and stress makes it worse but then you feel like you can't afford to take a break because (____ fill in the blank with self-ceitical thought)? Or maybe you're afraid you'll never rejoin the land of the active once you slow down. Well, here is your permission slip to rest! Rest IS "productive" (though I hate that word) in its own right. It is entirely purposeful and impactful. You are allowed to rest and reset. It is what keeps us going. Trust yourself to rejoin. Maybe identify one small way to re-engage after rest. Once we create intentional space and permission for self-care, oftentimes the stuckness gets better and it isn't so hard to start again because we have taken the space to meet the underlying need. So. Rest. Reset. Rejoin. Re-engage. Love to you all! Now I'm going to go take my own advice, I promise.

This is so much yes! Sandra talks about her journey with such realness and vulnerability. I admire that so much about her content. This episode is my favorite of her new podcast. Perhaps my favorite part is when she talks about that feeling when you are someone with ADHD who finally reaches a goal, or is close to it, but then you get hit with the worry of "What if I can't keep it up? What if I blow it?" Powerful, impactful, subscribe to The ADHD Good Life podcast on Spotify, iTunes, and other platforms.
