Jewish Family Service of Colorado

Jewish Family Service of Colorado JFS is a nonprofit human services organization that serves anyone in need. Jewish Family Service of Colorado (JFS) is a nonsectarian, nonprofit agency.

Founded 150 years ago, we currently offer more than 30 programs and services, including food security, housing stability, mental health counseling, aging care, employment support, chaplaincy, refugee resettlement, and disability services. JFS takes a holistic approach, assessing the various needs of the individual or family and provides the appropriate services all from one organization. We continuously evaluate the evolving challenges of our community and adapt or develop programs that respond to the resulting needs.

Together, we can ensure Holocaust survivors continue to live with dignity and peace. With rising costs and growing needs, your support is essential to help JFS provide essential programs and services to those in need. Give today at jewishfamilyservice.org/donate/holocaust and stand with survivors in our community.

Join us with Justice Necessary to ensure that all members of our community have access to essential food and hygiene items. A $54 donation provides a family of four with laundry detergent for one year. Thanks to a generous $18,000 match, your gift can go twice as far if you donate now.

Holocaust survivors are connected by history. Each has a unique story, but they all share the need for support as they age—support that helps them stay healthy, engaged, and connected to their communities.

Today, you can help JFS provide consistent care and build a strong support system for survivors and their families. Visit jewishfamilyservice.org/donate/holocaust to donate today.

This week, we hosted the New American Women Empowerment (NAWE) Employment Program event, which supports women in finding meaningful employment through workshops and sessions led by JFS staff, volunteers, interpreters, and clients who shared their experiences, empowering women through their stories.
In total, 19 women participated in the sessions and 30 attended the job fair—resulting in five on-the-spot job offers and many interviews scheduled!
Thank you to the Denver Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs for funding NAWE, to Project EM for supporting our one-on-one career coaching, to our employment partners for their collaboration, and to Bob G. for generously supporting and volunteering his time.
