2021 hurricane season has started... looking like Tropical Storm Elsa is going to hit Florida in a few days.

Each year, Altitude EMS works with Para Corp to staff a 5 ambulance strike team, subcontracted from FEMA. We're always looking for EMTs and Paramedics. If you're interested, hit us up and we can get you some details.

Pic is from Hurricane Irma in 2017. This was at the Leon county fairgrounds in Tallahassee, Florida. We heard there were 122 ambulances staged on the first day, awaiting assigments. Some teams got chopped over to 911 overflow, other teams were evacuating nursing homes & hospitals. You never know what you'll get on one of these deployments!

Good evening all,
predictions are being posted that we could have an active hurricane season this year, as if 2020 wasn't crazy enough.

For those who may not know, Altitude EMS works with Ringdahl EMS & Para Corp, based out of Minnesota, to staff an EMS Strike Team. FEMA funds these teams, so it is hit or miss on who gets picked up for the taskers. We're always looking for additional staffing & people willing to take an (up to) 30 day deployment.

If you have an EMT or a Paramedic license and would like to apply for the possibility of going on one of these FEMA deployments, send us a PM and we'll get you a listing of the training & malpractice insurance requirements.

The Atlantic hurricane season officially begins June 1 and forecasters say it could be a busy one.

Only a ten degree difference between the two parks, but the weather couldnt be more different. Colorado is rainy and cloudy where as California is sunny with crystal clear blue skies. We want to wish luck to all the riders at both parks and invite everyone if your in the area of either park to come and watch the Grand Prixs later this afternoon!! Stay safe out there!
